Ich und meine Familie gehen seit vielen Jahren dort regelmäßig essen und wurden nie enttäuscht. Wir kennen Carlos und auch Esperanca,die die Seele des Hauses war,aber leider verstarb, was für die Betreiber ein harter Weg war. Dennoch haben sie sich gefangen und dem Lokal eine neue Chance gegeben. Wir kannten sie gut und es ist so schade das sie nicht mehr da ist. Aber es war und ist immer wie ein Kurzurlaub wenn man dort essen geht, die Atmosphäre ist einfach toll. Es ist klein und familiär, die Mitarbeiter sind alle herzlich und bemüht. Ich kenne Portugal sehr gut und finde das Restaurant kann mithalten bzw repräsentiert die traditionelle Küche gut. Fischgerichte, viel Salat und Kartoffeln als Beilage ist absolut Standard. Sicher sind die Preise recht hoch,aber das liegt einfach an der Lage, sonst könnte sich der kleine Laden nicht halten.... die Leute die dort wohnen, haben genug Geld ;-) trinkt ein kühles Bier oder Galão mit Carlos und ihr werdet gerne wieder kommen! Wir auf jeden Fall!

This restaurant is the utmost height of disrespect towards the customer.
Serving something which belongs on a burger as a steak and charging 20 Euros for it, is just bad people thinking they can serve any crap and people will pay any price for it. They do. once.
The sauce was tasteless and runny, tasted like it was made from some instant powder which it probably was. The potatoes which should have been french fries weren't even pealed and the salade was carelessly arranged with an also tasteless vinaigrette (mostly water from a badly cleaned salad). A meal not even worth 2 Euros.
The service rounded it up nicely. Dirty sheets on a reserved table, a waiter which could not be bothered to dress decently, a menu which was sticky and dirty plus a forgotten meal was all included.
People who run places like this and think they are smart because people do not know what shit served as food looks like, stopped caring about anything a long time ago and need to be stopped. I take it very personal if someone serves me bad food on purpose. This piece of meat would never have made a decent steak. Not even a chef holding 3 michelin stars could have done that. It is just bad people taking advantage of customers and being arrogant. This is what this restaurant is about.

My new favourite restaurant in Berlin. Been there several times already, the Dorade fish was absolutely amazing, the entrecote was delicious (my girlfriend doesn't stop talking about it), and we've also tried the shrimps and a traditional Portuguese fish soup/casserole which had four different, and excellent fish. The cuisine is simple, and the owner is absolute lovely. Oh and the coffee is awesome. Even the decaf is good!

Seriously one of the worst gastronomic experiences I have had in a long time. Table was sticky, old bread in the basket, service got the orders wrong, food was seriously bad! (The sepias were partially uncooked, the codfish had no taste what so ever) It was really expensive as well!! I really hated it, ruined my good mood on a Friday night.

As a portuguese, I've tried different portuguese restaurants in Berlin and this was by far the most authentic. Really nice Caldo Verde and Snails. Will definitely come back :)
