Barney's and the Corkonian are my two favourites in Cologne. I'm from the States but have been living in Cologne for the last year and a half. The Corkonian is good for their Irish Car Bombs but you can often wait awhile for a drink and it's overly crowded but at Barney's the service is great. The people are very welcoming and friendly. I've never had a bad time there. I love that they have Strongbow Apple Cidre. Barney's also earned huge bonus points because they played the University of Michigan football game this last weekend. I'm an alumni and Barney's couldn't have found a better way to make me want to continue coming back. I highly recommend this place for its excellent atmosphere though. As long as I'm in Cologne, I'll keep coming back. :)

Well done Charlie, the Irish chap that owns this place. Nice beer, really good service, friendly, English sports channels to watch, what more could you want. Some real characters there when we stopped by for a drink. Ended up being quite a few drinks.
