Eine außergewöhnliche Speisekarte, exotische Getränke und Cocktails, alles abgerundet durch ein besonderes Ambiente bei der Raumgestaltung und der Präsentation der Essen und Getränke, Ambiente Afrika eben. Das Essen ist liebevoll zubereitet und schmeckt hervorragend, sofern man die Geschmacksrichtungen mag, z. B. Kochbanane, Seidenwürmer, Kamel, Krokodil, Strauß, verschiedene Fischarten, mild bis sehr scharf. Die Auswahl ist groß und ein Besuch reicht bei weitem nicht aus, um sich ein umfassendes Bild zu machen. Wir waren inzwischen 3x da und kommen gewiss wieder.

Der Abend war ein Erlebnis! Vom Ambiente, das einen für einen Abend entführt, zum Essen und den tollen Gastgebern. Bringt etwas Zeit mit und genießt. Zudem fanden wir es sehr aufmerksam, das schon bei der Reservierung auf die Zahlungsmöglichkeiten hingewiesen wurde und man nicht erst am Tisch überrascht wird.

Mega leckeres Essen. Super schönes und authentisches Ambiente und total netter Service. Einer meiner Lieblings-Afrikaner.

Echt gut. Das Restaurant ist top. Ich persönlich konnte mitten in Stuttgart die Erfahrung machen, Krokodilfleisch zu probieren. Die Drinks sind spitze und die Bedienung echt gut gelaunt und hilfsbereit. Der Preis ist passend dazu, dass es eben exotisch ist, was man sich aber für einen Abend ausgehen mal leisten kann.

Das Lokal ist echt enorm stilvoll eingerichtet. Keine cheap Dekoration, stattdessen es war farblich echt vieles ungemein harmonisch auf einander abgestimmt.Auf das Essen und unsere Drinks mussten wir gar nicht lange warten. Das war prima, da wir an diesem Abend einen großen Heißhunger hatten. Sicherlich komme meine Wenigkeit da mit meinen Bekannten her und kann mich darauf verlassen klaglos bedient zu werden.Dieses Restaurant hat de facto Potential mein neues Lieblingslokal zu werden.

Der Empfang war sehr persönlich und freundlich. Mit den Sitzmöbel auf dem Sandboden, fühlt man sich gleich in die richtige Stimmung versetzt, um aus der sehr guten Speisekarte sein Menü zu wählen. Alternativ gibt es auch normale Sitzmöbel mit Stuhl und Tisch. Wer in Stuttgart hungrig unterwegs ist, findet hier definitiv ein Ort der Erholung und Stärkung.

Dieses Restaurant hat ein klasse Ambiente, nettes Personal und großartige Speisen. Ich bin seit Jahren begeistert und kann es jedem nur ans Herz legen, einmal selbst das Essen zu erleben. Es gibt eine vielfältige Auswahl an Hauptspeisen, aber auch an Nachspeisen, die sehr empfehlenswert sind.

Hervorragend. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Atmosphäre ist dufte. Wir haben die Vegetarischen Gerichte probiert mit alkfreien Cocktails. Sehr zu empfehlen 😁

Leider nur drei Sterne wegen der neuen Servicekraft/Aushilfe etc. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker und das Ambiente sehr gemütlich und einladend. Preis Leistung ist ebenfalls völlig ok. Schade fanden wir, dass die Servicekraft keinerlei Ahnung von den servierten Speissen hat und keine Auskünfte zu den Gerichten machen konnte. Gerade in einem Afrikanischen Restaurant in dem mir die völlig fremden Namen der Gerichte nichts sagen sollte das Personal erklären können um was es sich hier handelt. Wir haben auf 18 Uhr reserviert und wurden dann gefragt ob wir bis 20 Uhr fertig sind mit dem Essen. Wir sagten ja, da man in 2 Stunden normal fertig ist. Vorspeise und Hauptgericht kamen dann auch recht zügig als wir dann die Karte erneut verlangten wegen einer Nachspeisse dauerte dies fast 20 Minuten. Der Nachtisch wurde dann bestellt und hat gefühlt noch mal 30 Minuten gedauert. Die Servicekraft brachte dann ganz hecktisch den Nachtisch und sagte er muss gleich abkassieren da draußen schon die nächsten Kunden warten. Wir empfanden es als Rauswurf durch die Blume gesagt. Fazit: Leckeres Essen in schönen Ambiente mit schlechten Service.

Superleckeres Essen und sehr leckere Getränke! Sowohl Cocktails als auch das exotische afrikanische Bier � Auch das Essen überzeugt auf ganzer Linie! Dazu kommen sehr nette Bedienungen, denen die Gäste am Herzen liegen und die kompetent und freundlich sind. Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants! <3

Great place the staff was friendly, food came in a timely manner, disappointing when they told us that you have until 1 1/2hr reservation got little confused at the beginning, maybe because we had a 2 year old with us not sure!! Anyways time pressure made me order the wrong food didn’t have enough time to read the menu. However Wife loved the food even, my son had some good food overall I’ll be back here once more.

Ich war gestern mit meinem Mann auf der Durchreise und haben auch zum ersten Mal Nordafrikanisch gegessen. .schneller und sehr zuvorkommender Service, super leckeres Essen und die Portionen waren auch mehr als angemessen und die Cocktails waren auch top. .gerne mal wieder

Das Ambiente selbst ist sehr schön und stimmig. Die Bedingungen sind sehr freundlich, das Essen und die Cocktails waren sehr lecker und herrlich angerichtet. Jederzeit wieder!

Wir waren das erste mal im Ambiente Afrika. Das Essen war überragend die Location total liebevoll zum Detail hergerichtet . Die Servicekräfte sehr freundlich. Wir werden wieder kommen! �

Wir sind nur zufällig daran vorbeigelaufen und mussten sofort rein. Fantastisches Essen und sehr ausgefallene Einrichtung. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 😊

Waren heute mal wieder im Ambiente Afrika. Das Ambiente ist super schön, das Essen ist richtig lecker, am Service mangelt es leider. Ich hatte reserviert (von 18 bis 20 Uhr). Wir mussten eine dreiviertel Stunde auf das Essen warten (was aber nicht schlimm war). Als wir gerade fertig waren mit Essen (kurz nach sieben), wurde unser Tisch abgeräumt und Unruhe kam auf, da neue Gäste ankamen und man wohl nicht wusste, wie man sie abfertigen sollte. Wir wurden daraufhin gebeten, den Tisch zu wechseln. Da wir sowieso fast fertig waren, baten wir schonmal um die Rechnung, welche auch extrem schnell zu uns kam und in uns alles in allem das Gefühl des Rauswurfes und des schnellen Umsatzes hinterließ. Leider ist mir das nicht zum ersten Mal passiert. Dieser bittere Beigeschmack ist schade, da ich das Ambiente Afrika ansonsten super finde.

Wenn ich hier so die Bewertungen lese. Frag ich mich was bei unserem ersten Besuch gestern schief gelaufen ist. Der Service und das Ambiente absolut top!!! Dafür alleine gibt es eigentlich fünf Sterne und auch nur für diese Punkte! Ich esse für mein Leben gern. Allerdings war das im Abstand das schlechteste was ich jeh gegessen habe. Der Thunfisch ist glaube ich bevor er gebraten wurde noch 20 mal zuvor gestorben. Teuer als meine Schuhsohle....und seit wann ist ein Tunfisch außen rum kross ( dementsprechend auch total tot von innen) Mein Rindfleisch! Wer unsere Tischnachbarn nicht so unglaublich nett gewesen. Hätte ich es ihnen vor den Kopf werfen können( mit sehr schlimmen Verletzungen) das Fleisch war toter als tot und kaum zu kauen. Hab es runter gewirkt!!! Aber der Service und das Ambiente mega! Die Cocktails waren In Ordnung!

Sehr zu empfehlen, super lecker, super freundlicher Service und wer bei dem Ambiente nicht abschalten und genießen kann, wird es wahrscheinlich nie können. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder hin gehen!

Das 1.mal hier gewesen. Es war beeindruckend! Das Essen Spitze und die Lokalikät einfach atemberaubend! Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich! Wir kommen wieder! Danke euch allen und bleibt bitte so wie ihr seit! ��

Super Konzept, leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher Service, wir sind begeistert. Ein wirklicher Tipp für alle die gerne gut und außergewöhnlich essen!

Service is excellent, happy hour is great w cocktails only being 4,90. The gin and tonic was made w infused hibiscus flower and quite smooth. Great prices for cocktails w quality liquor. Now the food, wholly molly!! Plenty of vegetarian options. I had the red n yellow lentils w couscous. Amazing flavors! I asked for the sweet potato fries instead of the sour bread, never been a fan of that. The fries were thinly slices white sweet potato and amazing w the lentils. This is now my go to spot for great food.

I was very excited to try this restaurant, and my initial impressions were positive - the creative decorations, the nice outdoor seating, the fun bathroom. However everything went downhill from there. They would not provide tap water, which I had forgotten some European restaurants do. 1 L jar of (probably just tap) water was slightly more than €5. I also got guava juice for €3, which they somehow turned into diluted guava-wannabe-soda (1/10 guava and rest flat sparkling water). However, when I pointed out I had originally asked for plain guava juice, they did quickly exchange it out for the correct drink. We ordered 4-5 vegetarian dishes, a chicken dish (51, which she said could only come with sweet potato), and 3 appetizers along with 3 injera sides. The waitress left with our order, only to come back 10 minutes later telling us they ran out of injera. I didn't even know it was possible for Eritrean restaurants to do that without just closing their doors for the day. It's like a Chinese restaurant running out of rice. If we had known, we would have just left and gone to one of the other many Eritrean restaurants in the area. However, having sat down, gotten drinks, and already ordered, we decided to just switch to different starch, ordering couscous and some potato pudding side. The appetizers (barley pudding and couscous with yogurt) came out on banana leaves and were quite yummy. We were very excited for the rest of the meal despite the lack of injera. However, when my meat dish came out, it was an absolute disappointment. I'd asked for spicy, and it was definitely not spicy enough. The fried sweet potatoes it came with were soggy, nothing special, and didn't particularly go well with the dish (I think I would have preferred couscous or even the mashed potatoes to better soak up the stew). The worst part was how over cooked the chicken was. Chicken is the easiest meat to cook tenderly, yet they managed to make it a chewy, stringy mess. When I ate down the stew, the bottom bit was also so salty I had to give it to my husband to eat with an extra order of couscous he had ordered. The vegetarian dishes that had to be eaten with non-injera was a mess. They put everything on the starches we ordered, which just meant all the starches were hidden and one of the dishes had no easily accessible starch to eat it with. The lack of injera also meant there was really nothing to mop up all the liquid that sloshed off the couscous and potatoes. And I have no idea what was in the vegetarian tasting platter, but it was not enough for 6 people to share and try a bit of everything - everyone missed out on something (for example, my husband was the only one to be able to try the single piece of potato sampler on the platter). We ended up spending €100+ for 6 people to get moderately full. Not a great deal for food that was partially great, partiality bad, and mostly just OK. Having had Ethiopian (similar to Eritrean) in DC, SF, and London, where they have never, ever run out of injera, and where they could cook decently tender meat, this was definitely a disappointment.

This is hands down our favorite restaurant in the whole world. It is so delicious. If you come here, I can highly recommend Nr. 46 (I think Kukuma it's called) or Nr 51 (I forget what this one is called). The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is (usually) also great and it's all about the delicious food. The best/most fun way to eat is to ask for one big platter so then you can have all meals on one giant plate and share with your friends/partner. My husband loves it so much he actually wants the owner to open a location in Santa Cruz, CA for us. :D lol oh and PS: Best to make reservations, they get busy!

We visited this restaurant last night with a group of friends (17 to be exact ). This was me and my wife's first time eating African food. When we walked in I loved the decor but the restaurant is super small. I would not recommend it for groups unless u don't mind being crowed. I had a vegetarian dish #60 and a Pina colada drink. The meal and drink were amazing !! The staff wasn't very friendly I mean when I asked them a question they were nice but I had to ask someone to place my order. Our friends ordered a drink and didn't get it until they were ready to leave. The service could of been better but everyone loved their food in the group. Overall it was a great experience.

At the time the food, vibe, staff were fantastic but as soon as I got home it was another story... I had a 12 hour ordeal of vomiting!!! So bad and will defiantly won't be eating here again.

I liked this place. The African atmosphere is delightful and the service here was really good. There were some really unique meats offered on a very extensive menu. We went as a group of 4 people on a Saturday night with no reservation. The staff worked hard to find a way to fit us in and found us a table that we needed to vacate in just under 2 hours. My husband and I opted for a combination dish for 2, which consisted of a selection of zebra, ostrich, and some other deer like meat. The flavors on this dish were all wonderful but the meat was all over cooked. The other dishes at the table were more stew type dishes and tasted really good and did not suffer from over cooking. I would try this place again, but probably not get the same dish.

Wer sich für einen Besuch im "Ambiente Afrika" entscheidet sollte Zeit mitbringen, wird aber in einem gemütlichen und dem Titel gerecht werdenden Restaurant mit stets frisch zubereiteten Speisen belohnt. Mein persönliches Favorit in Stuttgart!

WOW!! NOT good at all! I ordered mild food and got super hot spicy food and then instead of replacing it the only thing they said they could do is bring me some yogurt to make it milder! Seriously wtf!!! It was their mistake and now I have to pay 9,90 for a dish that I wanted mild and got HOT. Not to mention that the portion was made for a 3 year old. Sorry if I seem a bit harsh, usually I'm very open to new cultures and foods but this was just unexceptable!!!

address is not so correct,cause the entrance is at Moserstrasse, not at Werastrasse. At Tuesday evening, it was busy, without reservation, we got a table just lean against the bar. A happy hour cocktail drink list right on the table, i choseAfrica queen, turns out, it's not belong to happy hour drinks, of course,like always! but why in the same list? It took more than half hour to arrive,tasted really good, fresh, maybe that was why they let me wait. i had Safari Spezial - Wunder Topf- Gegrilltes Lammfleisch, serviert in einem afrikanischen Tontopf mit Fladenbrot. It was good, couldn't taste lamb at all, since my dish came out of kitchen, the whole room became smoky, the ventilation is not so good there, next day my coat still smelled like that, had send to dry clean. The decoration: they try to make this place looks like Africa, the wood tables, giraffe, dishes,haywhich i think it's interesting, but also a bit too much The bathroom is small and bit dirty, but the washing tub with really flowers in it, looked very romantic. I guess that is worth to try out!
