Wohl das beste Cafe Münchens. Exzellenter Kuchen und Törtchen und sehr guter Kaffee. Darüber hinaus auch gute Hauptgerichte, z.B. das Wiener Schnitzel und Spezilitäten wie die hausgemachte Luitpold-Limonade. Der Palmengarten bietet ein einmaliges Ambiente und regelmässig finden im Luitpold auch kulturelle Veranstaltungen statt. Sehr zu empfehlen.
Ich bin total beeindruckt! War das erste Mal dort und schon das Ambiente und die Location selbst haben mich umgehauen..Die Karte ist überschaubar, sehr geschmackvoll, und die Tapas einfach nur lecker ! Kein zu langes Warten, das Servicepersonal war total zuvorkommend und charmant.. Als Gast wurde ich rundum perfekt behandelt ..stilvoll, aber nicht spiessig .. humorvoll, aber nicht versnobt... also mein Fazit: ich komme wieder und freue mich darauf! Weiter so !

Walked in and no one greeted us for a good 10 minutes. We walked around to different entrances, and still nobody paid us attention. We finally got someone's attention and they sat us down at a table almost immediately.
I ordered the lamb with eggplants, and it was delicious! The lamb was really tender, but I found the eggplants were a bit bitter. Despite this, I finished every inch of my plate.
I also ordered a hot chocolate, and it was really great! A tad too sweet for my liking, but the chocolate was very rich.
I was able to get dessert and I got a berry cake and that was DELICIOUS. It was nice and light, and had great berry flavour.
Our server was super nice, and really engaged with us. He was very sweet, and was attentive to our individual needs.
Overall, pretty good!

Cafe Luitpold is the perfect image of an elegant European cafe: beautiful, clean, classy, professional service, and a pleasant outdoor sidewalk seating. Step inside, and your eyes will be immediately mesmerized to the decadent glass display featuring dozens of seducing desserts...resistance is futile! I couldn't decide on one dessert, so I picked out two desserts. I probably should've gone for three! Smile and wave at one of the lovely Fraus, point to what you want, and she'll hand you a ticket for each indulgence you want. Grab an empty table, and a gentleman will promptly arrive to take your tickets and drink order. Sit, drink, eat, and enjoy...and hopefully you don't smoke, gross!

I never said Luitpold was cheap right? But if you factor in that German prices already include tax, and unlike America you're not expected to tip 15-20%...its really about the same.
This cafe's cakes are amazing! I felt they are the best of cakes which I had in München. I tried a French style Schwarzwälder Kirsch Torte and Luitpold Torte. I leave nothing to be desired to the cakes.
Because I went at the evening on Sunday, the cafe is too crowded that I had some difficulties to order and ask check to weiters.

This place was delicious. The cakes were decadent and sweet. The prices were reasonable for a dessert store in Munich, and service was great. We will definitely be back!!
Stumbled upon this French cafe and walked inside to enjoy some cakes after our afternoon walk. The cakes look delicious. They were also selling truffles, cookies and other sweets. We were seated in the back with good lights inside. I ordered grapefruit spritzer and luitpold cake. The cake has like 6 layers of it with marzipan and Riesling white mousse with dark chocolate frosting. Lovey ordered the cherry pie cake with coffee. This place is very cute and elegant. I can see my gfs and I hanging out here for wine or tea while gossiping! A must stop in Munchen. Little pricey but why not, you're on vacation!! Trust!
The cafe is elegant with perfect space. The desserts are too beautiful and delicious. The service is also great. If my friends come to München, I will definite bring them to this Cafe'. Really recommended.
Most classy and elegant Coffee House in town. They offer all sorts of delicately designed cakes, whose taste and appearance will definitely make your day :) A booklet about events in Cafe Luitpold also caught my eyes and invited me back :)
Great cafe, really beautiful space inside, and solid food and treats. Our staff was very friendly and attentive.
Delicious lunch with exceptional presentation. We had the pickled smoked salmon and the leek quiche and both were clean plate dishes. Frau Koch was wonderful and patient with our minimal German. Fun sitting outside, sidewalk cafe style. Thank you!

After a long hectic schedule ( and a forced hibernation on this forum, owing to occupation hazards), one of the weekends i happen to accost this place with a bunch of good local friends. My first impression was it will be expensive by looking at the attire and grandeur look it possess and the very location of this cafe. But I was wrong, it took me by surprise as i happen to realize it is not at all as expensive as it looks.
Moving ahead from aesthetics, lets get to the most important ingredient of the review. The eateries. I haven't seen any place with such a large collection of cakes, pastries and wonderful delicacy which could rejoice your mouth buds. I must say, your sweet buds will thank you a ton for visiting this place. one more thing which striked me was its immaculate, STYLISH presentation which could sweep away the ground beneath your feet if you are an connoisseur of beauty around. you can get your choice of stuff packed in the most amazing away which could work as a fantabulous offering for gifting someone.
Its no brainer now, to give a heads up that the place on weekends of course is crowded, normally during afternoons. You might have to stay a while, usually 10 min, to occupy a place. Even though the place is quite big, and has plenty of sitting arrangement, but still I am afraid its crowded.
Coming to service, you can happily afford to give them a breathing space. The service staff are taxed and extremely busy. And looking at them, honestly you don't get annoyed but empathize. they are quite generous too...And hence even though service might not be top notch but still there are many other things that make up for it. Not everything comes in one package.
So in nut shell, a must visit. Take your girlfriend here and she will like you forever.. :)

Sehr netten Personal, leckere Pralinen und der Kaffee ist richtig super. Die Preisen können sich sehen lassen. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und man bleibt auch gern mal etwas länger. Schneller Service, sind gern hier und werden sicherlich auch noch öfters kommen. Macht einfach weiter so.
Wir hatten meinem Bruder und seiner Frau einen Gutschein von Jochen Schweizer zum Hochzeitstag geschenkt. Sie waren hellauf begeistert, ein hervorragendes Menü mit Weinbegleitung. Sehr aufmerksame Servicekräfte, bestens zu empfehlen. Wir sind im Oktober selber in München und werden auf jeden Fall hier herkommen. Ich verstehe nicht, wie manche hier schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht haben können
Der Innenhof ist super schön. Diesen Winter gibt es einen Weihnachtsmarkt im Café. Die Kuchen sind natürlich super lecker

Ich hatte mit meiner Tochter ein wundervolles 3 Gänge Menü über Jochen Schweizer mit Weinbegleitung. Ich bin mehr als begeistert von diesem wunderbaren Service!!!! Wir waren bei der netten Ly (loveya). Ich werde wieder kommen aber sicher NUR bei dieser netten Dame. Danke für diese tolle Bewirtung liebe Ly bis bald 😀
Wir haben hier die letzten Zwetschgen des Jahres genossen und es hat noch besser geschmeckt, als es aussieht. Wunderschön eingerichtetes Lokal mit einer sehr verführerischen Auswahl und zuvorkommenden Personal hinter der Theke
