Great ceviche! Tasty drinks!
Service was very friendly.
I've never been to Peru, but I believe I would recommend it to a peruvian :)
Spent a little more than 20€ with drinks!
I most certantly will come back!
A colleague of mine whose wife happens to be Peruvian suggested I try this place. So a friend and I decided to go here. He has been here a few times already and quite likes it as well.
It's not a huge place and has seating for about 25-30 ppl. It's dimly lit and cosy, perhaps a little too cosy for my liking as when the place filled up it was a bit cramped. It also got too warm and we had to end up leaving early :-(
The food here is excellent. The Cevice starter was excellent as was the spicy seafood stew I had for main. The food was packed with flavours and had a good kick to it. Rice and boiled or fried potato is served with the courses and, the Cevice also had steamed sweet potato slices that was delicious. The Pisco sour is also excellent here and, made from good Peruvian pisco. The menu is not huge but there are enough choices for all including vegetarians. The cocktail list is also pretty decent with some traditional Peruvian cocktails and beer.
English is well spoken here and the staff are quite friendly but the service was a little slow. All in all a pleasant evening and if it was not that warm we would have ended up staying instead of leaving straight after dinner.
I would happily come back here for the food. Peruvian food has gained global recognition in recent years and, it is well deserved. If you like food that is made from fresh ingredients and packs a punch, you will like it here.
It is a small venue, but they provides great food and service.
I was there with a group of 15, and they coped quite well with a group that big. I tried the Anticuchos and the Ceviche and both were delicious. The Pisco Sour was also very good!
I think it is a tad expensive, but the quality is high enough to justify it.
I will definitely visit again.
Very good food, cocktails and ambiance. It's a twist to traditional but the same recipes. Very good.
As a Native Peruvian, I was born to love great cuisine. This was the best Peruvian restaurant I've been to in Europe, and I've been to many. The food was authentic and tasted as good as it would in Lima. The service was superb. To the reviewer who said it doesn't look or taste like Peruvian, I would say you are wrong my friend. I was born and raised in Peru, and this food was excellent and the ambience and music reminiscent of Lima, where the most recognized "comida criolla" comes from. 5 stars, adjusted for Europe, but could even compare in Lima.
We finally made it to this nearby restaurant that we've had our eyes on forever, and it was really nice! My "Ceviche tradicional" starter was top notch, and my wife's deep fried manioc was nice too. As main course I tried the (vegetarian) Quinua, which was very nice, like a risotto but based on a different grain. My wife's lamb (Seco de cordero) was tasty, though the rice that came with it was a bit dry. The food was accompanied by a Peruvian Syrah, which was not mindblowing but still a nice drink, and slightly exotic. The décor is nice and the service was fine. An easy four stars; hop on the U2 to Theresienstrasse, walk for less than a minute once you're on the street, and enjoy!
Einfach peruanisch!
