An excellent tapas place, just a short walking distance from my apartment. Five minutes from Universitat metro. The eggplant purée, the ceviche-like dish, and the squid were all delicious.
The service was very nice, and even if the waitress didn't speak tremendous English, she went out of her way to understand.
The ambiance is mostly young and friendly, lots of couples. A bit on the noisy side, but I didn't mind.
The cheque was quite affordable, with three tapas and two Radler running under €22 Before the tip.
Overall, a strong 4*
This tapas place was great!! We were visiting from the US and met a friend that lives in Munich. They have a very nice selection of drinks and tapas!!! If you like Spanish style tapas then you will love this place. The server was very friendly and spoke English with us. Definitely make a reservation as this place gets busy!!!
We tried a bunch of the different tapas they had our on the bar, and all were very delicious.
My sister and I enjoyed the tapas. Everything was reasonably priced. We had a bottle of wine and tried the sangria. There is a display of tapas on the bar so it was very easy to order. We accidentally ordered entirely vegetarian and didn't miss the meat at all. Our waitress was delightful and spoke impeccable English. Easy to get to via the U3 or U6. Open Sunday.
Good Tapas value, variety of selections, focus on the Olives and chorizo. Friendly, helpful staff.
This is without doubt the best Tapas place I got to know in Munich. It's just around the corner of the University, so it is easy to reach by public transport. The few times I was there, I made a reservation what turned out to be a good idea, as the place always seems to be quite crowded. If you don't like crowded spaces, this restaurant isn't the best place for you but if you don't care having your table neighbours just an arm length away, you'll be fine.
I really recommend the house wine, it is inexpensive and tasty. The food is great. Throughout all my visits I tried every single plate they offer and non of them were odd or inedible, everything was very delicious. You pay around four Euros per plate but even I'm a good eater three small orders always were perfectly sufficient. Twice I ordered four tapas and it was way too much for me.
I can really recommend this place for a nice night out with friends.
Great ambiance, sangria and tapas bar. It's easy, write down the number of the tapas you want and your server will bring it to you. Bring your dog...they can come inside!
Tired of the German food on your visit to Munich? Make time to visit Bar Tapas - lots of small plates, friendly service, lively atmosphere. We went around 7-ish, and we watched the tables fill up (on a Sunday night!). While English wasn't widely spoken, they worked with us and it wasn't a huge barrier.
The dishes likely rotate, but from our visit, I would heartily recommend the bacon wrapped dates (how do you go wrong with that?) and the chicken salad (much better than it sounds - might have some curry in it). The flan was also excellent.
We would go back in a heartbeat!
I have been coming to this place for as long as I remember and I love it. You know what you're gonna get, the staff have this incredibly friendly, happy attitude, the location is great, the space is relaxed and the food is great. I've dragged friends and family here as they know I am tapas obsessed, and they've all really liked it.
Yesterday was the first time I was incredibly disappointed. New member of staff who just doesn't fit in, slammed our wine and food on the table, ignored us / made us feel like we were annoying because she was busy with something else, was incredibly rude and therefore only got less of a tip than we'd usually leave - but she promptly checked the table for more as we were walking out.
I will happily come back, because from the manager to all other, long-term, staff the people are so lovely and make you feel so welcome - but the lady from last night just doesn't fit into a Spanish tapas bar.
Bar Tapas is a great place to have a good meal, drink and enjoy the company of your friends. There is a wide variety of dishes that you can choose from ranging from patatas to calamari. I like that I can actually see the dishes displayed along the bar and make my choices from there. My friends and I chose an array of dishes and we all shared and enjoyed them together. The prices were reasonable and the Sangria was amazing. I would definitely recommend going to this restaurant for a different atmosphere, flair and food!
Very good tapas and wine, excellent choice to enjoy Spanish food. The owner(?) is very friendly but some of staff not so good, mainly those German guy(s) while female waitress are nicer. Gets easily busy, so to book a table specially in the weekends is a good idea!
Ich komme schon jahrelang hier her.
Würde Es jedem empfehlen
Sehr lecker & gute Auswahl.
Sehr gute Tapas Auswahl, leckere Weinkarte.
Mussten mal alles durchprobieren. Bedienung auch super gut drauf und lustig. Weiter so!!
Schnell.
Lecker.
Entspannt.
Schönes Ambiente.
