This is great place for good people, with delicious food and wine :) Music and atmosphere is very chill. Sven is very nice person, also beautiful and smiley staff. My pleasure is met people there and talked with they. Thanks for everything. :)
In a city of restaurants serving either a) sub-par Italian or b) heavy German food, Oktopussy is a beacon of light. Seriously guys, this is the best restaurant in Düsseldorf.
To be fair, I get the same thing every time - the salmon and potatoes. But it is so good I can't bring myself to order anything else. My husband gets something different every time and has been really happy with every meal. The ambiance both inside and outside is perfect for a leisurely dinner with friends or a romantic date.
Bonus points: the staff is incredibly friendly and really good with the wine suggestions. We almost always go home and order a bottle of whatever we had at Oktopussy because the wine is always spot on. If you ask, they also have English menus available.
Great seafood, a collaborative and epicurean staff, great bartenders. I can't recommend Oktopussy highly enough. The menu changes, but only to keep up with seasonal ingredients and palate. I wish they had more space to accommodate a larger crowd, I took a 9:00 PM dinner reservation but it was well worth the wait. Seafood seems to be their specialty, but I saw an amazing goose plate leaving the kitchen. If you're a foodie, I strongly recommend you treat yo self and visit Oktopussy if you are in Dusseldorf. It's not on the top restaurants list for nothing!
This great little restaurant tucked away on a corner has such a charming atmosphere. We came for a birthday dinner and enjoyed starters, mains, and dessert, and would have licked the plates clean - everything was so good! I had the spinach salad and grilled tuna steak, all perfection. Also have a an unexpected varied wine list, lots of incredible options I haven't seen anywhere else in Düsseldorf.
Very good bar for wine. I like the people who are going there, really a nice atmosphere. I can not make any judgement regarding food, because mostly fish is offered, what I do not like.
Great restaurant - if is always busy and food is quite nice. The menu is quite limited but you definitely get quality ingredients for the price, it is a nice modern feel to the place and it has a nice buzz.
The menu changes seasonally so probably my specific comments would not be that useful but I tried lobster salad followed by grilled sea bass. They were all very tasty my company had grilled octopus which was very tender and lovely. Lamb dishes looked nice as well.
Would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing food. Fun atmosphere. Wine is good. I got the braised beef shoulder. It was very good. Started off with the pork belly and it was very very good. If your a fan of the James Bond you'll love the name, but the 007 theme does not continue in this place. Nonetheless, the food is wonderful the staff is nice and helpful.

If this was my place, I would be soooo proud. Michelin stars are history. Everything is just perfect. Make sure you have a reservation, but do not miss this place when you are in Düsseldorf. The visitors are a bit upper class, but not snobbish. If you appreciate good food, wine and athmosphere, you have to be here. The place is small, but very cosy and the food is sublime. They have a great choice of wines and other refreshments. The waiters look like actors, good looking and authentic, but they understand their profession. This place is very efficiently managed and as a customer you experience the result of that in a positive way. Already making the reservation was a customer experience that I really appreciated. The place was already fully booked, but one place at the bar was available, and the guy emailing me said it was actually his favorite place in the room. I did not regret taking that last spot and he was right, it was the best place. We really enjoyed some good food and wine here!
It was a great meal for the price. I really enjoyed the scallops and the lamb. Marcus provided great suggestions and fantastic service!!!! The food presentation was awesome! I will definately will go back next time I am in town.
Great wine selection, the lobster salad is delicious and you can expect impeccable service and quality ingredients. Surprised I didn't know this place earlier.
Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Every single thing we had on the menu was fantastic. The ham appetizer was a good start and not so large you get filled up. The braised beef shoulder was falling apart and melts in your mouth. The wine list is very comprehensive and reasonable in price. I have traveled to Dusseldorf a number of times for business and this is by far the best place I have ever eaten in the city.

Wir gehen oft essen und waren von dem Besuch im octopussy absolut begeistert, da es sich geschmacklich stark von den Durchschnittsküchen abhebt und die Qualität aller Speisen wirklich sehr gut war. Der Service war aufmerksam charmant aber nicht zu penetrant. Die Atmosphäre trotz der Nähe zur Straße angenehm, sodass wir ein tolles Erlebnis bei warmen Temperaturen und gemütlichem Licht genießen durften. Rundum super! Vielen Dank für die kulinarische Reise. Ich bin nun zwei mal hier gewesen, jedesmal zu einem besonderen Anlass. Beim erstan mal waren meine Schwiegereltern zu Besuch in Düsseldorf und beim zweitem mal hatte meine Frau Geburtstag. Beidemale war das Essen fantastisch. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Die Kellner sind sofort zur Stelle, wenn man etwas bestellen möchte. Frisches Brot wird kostenfrei serviert. Die Weinkarte ist gut bestückt auch wenn wir eher die Biertrinker sind. Es gibt ca. 6 - 8 verschiedene Hauptspeisen und ähnlich viele Vorspeisen. Die Gerichte werden sehr "französisch" angerichtet - also quasi wie die typischen Gänge bei einem 5 Gängemenü - sind jedoch ausreichend üppig. Die Beilagen füllen und das Fleisch / Fisch oder Meeresfrüchte sind perfekt und lecker. Alles in allem von mir 5 Sterne.
Wir haben mit der Freundin diese Restaurant besucht und haben schönen Abend gehabt. Die tolle Atmosphäre, nettes Personal. Ich kann empfehlen.
