I visit Frankfurt each year (Jan) for a trade show at Meese. This is one of my regular stops. This always a pleasant meal. What would classify as a traditional German meal. Not fancy - Just GOOD food! The waiters are very helpful but busy! The menus are English and German.
I have had the Fish and Chips - great! And one their specialties - 3 different fish fillets with herb butter and a fried potato!! I have had others too. But all have been great!
This is not fancy! But the food is fantastic! Highly recommend!!!
This establishment offers some really great seafood. I started out with some impressive and super salty oysters and then an amazing fish soup that had huge chunks of fish with shrimp in it. I would LOVE to eat the fish soup here weekly as it was just such a wonderful mix of flavors and had so much seafood in it that I think it was the most perfect meal of a seafood soup I have ever had. The only slight thing that could use some improvement is the oyster shucker didn't do the best job of separating the meat of the oyster from the shell.
Overall this is a great place for a nice meal served with generous portions at a fair price and you get decent amounts of bread with your food as well so you should certainly be able to fill up easily here.
I always like to get fish when I am out of town. I was glad that i found this place. I enjoyed a nice white fish and for the first time had green sauce. Besides the restaurant, there is also a full seafood market with lots of delicious options.
One of the best meals in my life. We came to this place after our first potential dinner plans fell through. We had passed it two days prior and I thought it might look good. Boy, was I right. I got the fisherman's special (3 filets of fish), and my husband got the pike with mushrooms. Both were out of this world. The flavor is out of this world (and naturally gluten-free!). I am in love with this place. The service was a little slow to start but after we ordered our fish came quick and hot. Literally one of the best meals in my life.

Sehr Lecker wie immer! Klar, etwas teurer. Aber dafür ist es ruhig, schönes Ambiente und vor allem das Essen ist top. Gehe immer wieder gerne dort hin.
Ich war schon lange nicht mehr so fasziniert von einem Gasthaus.Ich finde das Lokal zeitgemäß für alle Anlässen unwichtig ob mit Mann, Bekannten oder Sippschaft ; ).Die Belegschaft hat geradlinig, sauber und nett gearbeitet.Ich wollte den Dessert meist überhaupt nicht mehr mit meiner Mutter teilen. Wir alle haben nun daraus gelernt und werden the next time jeder eine Dessert bestellen.
Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal, Preise bisschen teurer, für die gute Qualität aber gerechtfertigt. Meine Verlobte hatte FRANKES FISCHERPFANNE: Dreierlei Fischfilets mit Kräuterbutter, dazu Blattspinat und Bratkartoffeln, ich hatte die COCKTAIL-
GARNELEN auf Mittelmeergemüse und Bandnudeln in Basilikum-Pesto.

Immer eine sichere Bank in Frankfurt in Sachen frischer Fisch. Meist auf einen kurzen Mittagsimbiss vorbeigeschaut wird man hier schnell bedient und kann sich seine Portionen selbst zusammenstellen (Fisch, Soßen, Beilagen). Alternativ gibt es die Möglichkeit im Restaurantbereich a la carte zu bestellen. Für die ganz Eiligen gibt es auch den Thekenbereich "auf die Hand". Was will man mehr?
Super frisch. Haben uns den Fisch direkt von der Frischetheke zubereiten lassen.
