I read a few reviews that mentioned bad service but I can absolutely not agree. During my whole visit, there was always a smile on the waitress face and they have been very polite to everyone areiving during my time there...
What I do agree with on the other hand is that the food there is fantastic. As so many before me I highly recommend the spinach falafel and - let's be honest - you can hardly go wrong with any of the hummus options...
A great place for vegan food. Came here a number of times during trip and went back because of quality of food. Located by bars and cafes so location is stellar too.
Fresh pita, amazing spinat falafel, carne with hummus and yummy gulash! I highly recommend the Islaeri wine!

The hummus offerings in German grocery stores leave a lot to be desired, but to be honest, I have always loved an excuse to make my own hummus, which I do regularly. It's definitely a staple in our household, so it's rare that I eat it when I'm out.
But Berlin does have its share of hummus spots, and on a trip to Prenzlauer Berg (where I go very seldom) a friend suggested this place, partially because he likes it and partially because I'm vegan, and you can't go wrong with a hummus place and vegans.
Our group of five arrived and started to gather around a smaller table outside, but the owner came out promptly and accommodated us with a larger one, which we took. The menus came out and there are a good half dozen vegan options on there, clearly marked with the green "v" next to them. Thumbs up.
I got the regular hummus plate, which comes with pickles, olives, and onion, along with pita bread. It was tasty and filling and the consistency was pretty spot on. They had some drinks that sounded good (ginger lemonade, for example) on the menu, but I was more in the mood for water. I asked the owner and he had no problem with me drinking my water bottle. In fact, they have free self-service tap water. Tops!
A nice little place to grab a snack and hang out--friendly service, too.
I live above these guys, and after watching it be almost constantly busy, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did!! Best hummus I have EVER had. Garlic sauce and hot sauce are given on the side, so you can season to taste. Lunch specials are really great, and cheap. They also make some tasty cocktails. Lots of veggie and vegan options. And the bread!! So good, comes to your table steamy and warm. Very filling. I have now become the crazy girl who lives upstairs and won't leave. Yum!
The shakshouka is excellent. I ended up pouring too much of the lemon garlic into the hummus so it was not as good as it could have been. The pita is excellent as well as all the garnishes that came with the meal. Service was very friendly and prompt.
The hummus is delicious, I particularly love the Afrikanische combination. Love the drinks too, all in all one of my favorite places in Berlin. :)
Hands down one of our favorite restaurants in the city. It is just really lovely, good quality food. The pitas! The Shakshuka! The Hummus! Oh my! Please go here the ambiance is great, and it's a breath of fresh air in a city chock-full of mediocre food places (has anyone else noticed this about Berlin?).
I love hummus and supposedly Zula has the best one in the city. I ended up here with a friend of mine on a gloomy Berlin day, so perfect time for some nice mint tea and hummus. The basic hummus platter, which comes with amazing pita, is cheap and delicious. My personal fav is to get hummus as well as tabbouleh salad and then build a little pita sandwich. I generally love salad and hummus so perfect combo for me. The little tabbouleh salad runs for around €3 and is pretty big and delicious. The reason why I am "only" giving 4 starts is the fact that even though the place was not that full, the service was super slow! I mean super slow and the fired aubergine with tahini I can also do without, but the hummus is great!
Great food and beautiful presentation! We sat outside on the patio and sipped our ginger lemonade in the sun.
Natürlich ist alles sehr lecker. Das Scharfe ist scharf. Das Saure ist sauer. Zu oft kann man nicht. Aber immer wieder.
Angenehm schlichtes und gemütliches Ambiente. Sehr, sehr leckeres Essen (Empfehlenswert ist Hummus mit Shakshuka) und ausgesprochen freundlicher und sympathischer Service. Danke!
Der beste Hummus Berlins! Hervorragende selbstgemachte Pita Brote. Super Toppings. Fantastische Spinat Falafel. ... Einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsläden in der Stadt 😊

Gutes israelisches Essen, aber die Portionen sind etwas komisch verteilt -- der Humus zum Beispiel ist immer viel, während andere Beilagen zu klein sind. Der Wein ist leider zu teuer. Man sitzt aber schön und die Auswahl überzeugt, deshalb komme ich gerne wieder!
