We came in for a meal after a walk round the reservoir. It had a lovely warm atmosphere and our dog was made very welcome. We didn’t book but there were some tables free. We perused the menu and gave the waiter our order. The food was freshly cooked and tasted delicious!! It was hearty and filling, and just what we needed after some fresh air!!

Absolutely gorgeous! I had the vegan burger and it was v nice .. I’d love to see more vegan options, but at least there was a couple and none of them were falafel {so that’s good!!) My non vegan sister really enjoyed her meal, and she is very, very hard to please! She enjoyed it so much she even had. Dessert! My only suggestion would be to make the rhubarb crumble vegan so that there’s a dessert for vegans ( there was ice cream only) The staff were lovely, so friendly… they brought over lots of treats for my dog! The place itself is beautiful

Really great visit to the restaurant with only a couple of niggles thrown in to the mix. Food amazing, truly exceptional. Thought & care clearly put into the dishes and a true care from the chefs is apparent. Drinks reasonably priced, staff attentive to the drinks levels too, never a point where our drinks were left less than half full. Staff attentive at times when not fussing the dogs of other guests within the restaurant / bar area. Some hygiene issues around staff petting dogs and then proceeding to make drinks behind the bar. A little off putting when you are sat across from the bar. The last niggle was when the bill was brought over we said we would pay by cash, another waitress proceeded to come over and ask if it was cash or card. Once we said cash she stood there waiting for the payment, at this time we felt a little rushed and this point throughout the visit was the only time this was felt.

First time at the Fountain Inn . First impression was how beautifully clean , warm and welcoming . We were greeted and served by a very happy , smiling and courteous lady . Wasn’t sure from some of the reviews what the food would be like however it was beautifully presented , good sized portions and cooked to perfection . Absolutely will be returning .

amazing little spot for food & drinks. food is a solid 10/10, and isn't expensive. atmosphere is really nice, it isnt loud like most pubs are nowadays, its nice and quiet with a really warm 'country pub' sort of feel. staff are also all very friendly and welcoming.

First time visiting the fountain for Sunday lunch. We sat outside with it been nice. Food was delicious. I do not like mash potatoes so asked for mine without and I got an extra roast potato. The Yorkshire puddings were lovely too. The only thing I didn't like was the creamed cabbage. But apart from that the meal was excellent. I couldn't eat all my potatoes so gave them to my husband. Will definitely be visiting again!

A beautiful pub with the most friendly and hardworking staff right next to a truly lovely and peaceful lake. And the food is excellent.

Super 75th birthday meal with my lovely wife. Recommend the battered fish and the pork loin. Great selection of puddings. Lovely decoration and seating with large outside area when weather permits. Friendly and efficient service.

We had a great experience on Saturday. We were a large group booking. Including 5 children. The staff were very attentive, and the food was fabulous. Certainly all freshly made. Definitely recommend.

When we arrived we asked for the early bird menu and they said it stopped at 6 but on the website it said 5 until 7pm, update your website because I don’t think we were the only ones asking. Anyway that aside, they honoured the early bird price. It did take a good 45 mins for the food to arrive but I’m guessing like most places these days they are short of staff so I wasn’t too bothered about that. Food was nice and presented lovely. It was our first visit since it has reopened and it is a lovely pub, the furnishings are modern and there is a nice atmosphere in the place, we will definitely return.
