I came across this ice cream place while strolling through the streets of k town on our first night into Germany.
They serve ice cream for a dollar by the scoop. How much cheaper can you get? I know in this part of town ice cream is about 1 euro equivalent to less than one American dollar. It's such a great deal. I ordered the green apple and boy was I fully impressed. The flavor was not overwhelming nor was it overpowering with artificial flavors. The ice cream was fresh and had a clear and clean flavor profile.
This was a nice place downtown. They delivered what is expected of a high quality German ice cream shop. We had the spaghetti ice and the kids had some nice ice cream that looked like a bee. We did ask for regular mineral water and they brought us carbonated water but it worked. It took a while to get service but that wasn't a big deal. It's a good place to chill or grab and go. Seating was open and the waitress comes by and takes your order.
I've never had ice cream/gelato this amazing in my life. The banana is fresh and by far my favorite. My husband who HATES banana was raving about it all day. As well as my two year old. Amazing. Cheap. DELICIOUS!!!!
One word. Schokobecher. OMG Good! Service is awesome, the guys are very courteous and kind. I was lucky enough to be with two people that speak German, so I didn't have to embarrass myself with my horrible German. I'm sure other ice cream and froyo are pretty awesome, judging from this one schokobecher I had.
