I strongly recommend that you make a reservation, that said, we arrived at 5p and they were able to slide us in before another party with a 7p reservation.
The service was attentive and timed well, they did not rush us but we respected that the table was reserved at 7 and didn't daudle.
The dinner salad was really fresh and crisp, and the salad dressing was sublime.
Then our Ribeyes arrived, were more than 2 inches thick and as big as a salad plate. The outside has a great crisp crust and our stakes were cooked to a perfect medium.
This restaurant was the first one we had seen in the region that had a baked potato on the menu and it was a welcomed treat, that didn't disappoint, with butter and creme freiche.
We were so full that we didn't have room for dessert but would bet that dessert is good there too.

This was great ! I was recommend this place from a fellow spouse and was not disappointed! I was expecting slow service from other yelp reviews and when we walked in it was really packed but the waiter sat us rather quickly and right off the bat let us know the meat was taking extra long which was very cool of them. We ordered the shrimp and butter appetizer, do not skip this stuff, it was sooooo good! Then we had a salad and then the steak (ribeye) with fries. It took some bit of time but they perfectly paced the food out with the perfect amount of time. The waitresses were very kind and attentive. We really enjoyed the service, atmosphere and the food! I loved the garlic butter on the steak it was TO DIE FOR! We both only ate 1/4 of the steak it was so large and thick. We will be coming back ! We enjoyed this establishment!
The only other thing I will say just because I tried looking through these reviews to see if anyone talked about the prices I thought I would share - we spent €79 for two extremely large ribeyes with fries, a salad, two large colas and one Pilsner. So it is a spendier joint, but def worth it for a every now and again splurge night. Example: the cheapest steak is €25,99 and the tomahawk is €42,99****
Great for larger groups but I'd make a reservation. We went on a Thursday night with kids! Food was excellent with a nice variety of german specialties. I didn't realize they had a small order and large order until later but I'd defiantly go with a small or a VERY big appetite! The salmon was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. I found it not too noises which I appreciate. Staff was friendly and accommodation. A few things were slow -kids dessert. But still friendly.
First off I ate here twice and was excellent both times! Just check out the pictures of the different meats we ordered on the second visit. Tomahawk, T-Bone, and the Ox Steak were all cooked to perfection. Being that the tomahawk and ox were 1 kilo each and my T-bone was 700g I cant believe how they came out so perfect . That butter to top the meat was all it needed. Just typing this review is making my mouth water. The salad was also wonderful with the homemade dressing. Service was great as they took care of our table as if we were family. Beers refilled in a timely manner. Overall a must eat at for steaks!
Zur Burg is a traditional German restaurant with traditional dishes. My group found this place on Steak Night. We were not disappointed. Good service... Good Food... Good Wine. We went home happy.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch with friendly service in a beautiful setting. English menus were available. The tomato soup is a must; best I've every had. My wife had a steak with onions and it was perfectly season and cooked. I had the "small pan" which was pork medallions in creamy mushroom sauce on a bed of spatzle, all covered in cheese and baked. It was one of the best dishes that I have had in Germany. The schnitzle dishes were average. The tiramisu had a nice presentation and was very tasty. Street parking is limited, but a parking garage is nearby. We highly recommend this restaurant!
One of the best restaurants we have found! My husband had the ribeye with onions. It was about an inch and a half thick and cooked/seasoned perfectly! I had the "small pan" which was pork medallions in creamy mushroom sauce covered in cheese and it was fantastic! Even my child are all of his chicken nuggets. We finished with a piece of delicious tiramisu and we're not disappointed with anything (besides my bottle of water costing €4.90)
The food was great, medium rare ribeyes were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, very quaint decorative bar. Gave this place 4/5 for lack of service at the beginning. Other than that nothing bad to say about this place.
I was pleasantly surprised as I walked into this restaurant. It was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Nice white cloth covered the tables and a folded napkin and silverware decorated them. We were quickly given the menus and left alone while we analyzed the menu. I ordered the 300g steak with pepper sauce and it was delicious! Great piece of meat and the sauce was delicious also. I got the Apfelstrudel for dessert and it was not bad. Overall, the food was good and the presentation of the food was good also. The service overall was decent.

War hier schon öfters mit meiner Frau und manchmal auch mit den Kindern essen.
Die haben echt eine Tolle Speisekarte wobei ich persönlich fast immer das Rumpsteak " Mr. Block House" medium esse.
Dazu gibt es einen Beilagensalat und wahlweise Pommes oder Bratkartoffeln für knapp 30 €.
Steak ist immer perfekt Medium so wie ich es liebe man kann es aber auch anders zubereiten lassen, so wie man es eben gerne isst.
Immer freundliches Personal in einem gepflegten Restaurant.
Also ich persönlich kann es hier nur immer wieder empfehlen gerade auch wegen dem sehr leckeren 300 gramm Rumpsteak 😋
Nach einer anstrengenden Wanderung kehrten wir im Steakhaus zur Burg ein. Das rustikal eingerichtete Lokal ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Große liebevoll gefaltete Stoffservierten, weiße Rosen und tolles Besteck empfangen den Gast am Tisch.
Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden ausreichend Auswahl. Klassiker sind aber wohl die Steaks, die mit üppigen Portionen aber absolut vernünftigen Preisen angegeben sind. Habe die Tomahawk-Steaks nur am Nachbartisch gesehen, da ich an dem Tag keine Lust auf Steak hatte sondern mehr den Schnitzel Hunger. Aber auch die Schnitzel überzeugten absolut. Egal wie groß der Hunger ist, mit zwei großen Schnitzeln wird er gestillt.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung für das Restaurant.

Immer wieder empfehlenswert. Ich gehe hier häufiger hin. Entweder mit Arbeitskollegen oder teils auch mit der Familie. Das Fleisch ist wirklich IMMER exzellent und die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung Der Service ist auch gut und die Lage eben sehr zentral. Die Toiletten sind stets sauber und riechen sogar vergleichsweise angenehmen.
