This is the best restaurant that we've found so far in Garmisch. We've only been there once but can tell that it'll be a staple date night. It's certainly not cheap but it's nothing extravagant. Coming from California, it was refreshing to find a local place with a changing small menu focused on fresh ingredients. It's German food but seemed to have a bit of mediterranean fusion. I supposed I would classify it as gourmet german... Marcus is the chef and his wife is the hostess and server. The restaurant not very big and off the main drag downtown. You'd have to know to look for it but it was pretty full on a Thursday evening so I think it's a local secret. Shhhhhhhhhh...
We started with a beef carpaccio which was very good but I wish we had tried the brushetta with avocados... My husband had a pork dish with spaetzle... he devoured it in about 2 minutes. I had a risotto with sun-dried tomatoes and veal. Amazing. I think we both licked our plates (I mean, I'm sure it's customary here... who says Americans are uncultured?)... We also had a bottle of Chilean wine for about 30 euros. Not cheap but not expensive for a bottle... and it was perfect with our meal. If you're in town, this is a must. It's certainly not touristy and is fantastic...
This was the best restaurant I've been to in a very long time. The burgers were amazing, better than anything I remember having in the states, and the Bavarian style specials were the best we've had on this trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful (particularly when we couldn't read the specials menu!) Highly recommend!
Absolutely wonderful, family-owned restaurant. The food and atmosphere were amazing and the hospitality was top-notch.
Gem of a little restaurant. We went here on the recommendation of our hotel and we're not disappointed! The cuisine is Italian/Mediterranean with a German twist. Marcus is the chef and his wife and daughter also work here. The service is efficient, genuine and charming.
There are only a few tables and all food is made with fresh local ingredients in limited quantity. Be sure to call ahead to secure reservations otherwise you will miss out!
The menu is limited to three starters and three mains. There is also a small but good wine list, specializing in Italian wines. My wife is vegetarian and they accommodated her request with aplomb!
Wonderful dinner in a great atmosphere. Fresh ingredients and lovely service. The bruschetta was the best! Everything we ate was so delicious. This is a must stop for dinner next time we are in Garmisch!

Der beste Burger, den wir jemals gegessen haben! War überragend lecker, eine ganz tolle Atmosphäre im Lokal (als es noch offen hatte) und ein super freundliches familiäres Personal. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind :)

Wir hatten den spicy und den champ (Trüffel) Burger und sind darüber genauso wie über die Pommes begeistert. Alles frisch, liebevoll und einfach super....Familienbetrieb mit viel Liebe
Sehr leckeres Essen mit qualitativ hochwertigen Zutaten und freundlichem Personal. Normalerweise hätte ich hier wirklich 5 Sterne vergeben, allerdings sind die Portionen klein und selbst meine beiden Kinder sind nicht satt geworden. Hier wäre eine größere Beilagen-Portion wünschenswert.
Wir waren anfangs verwirrt, da man uns keine Speisekarte gab. Es lagen nur Zettel mit Burgerangeboten drauf am Tisch, welche man vorreservieren müsste. Nach kurzem Nachfragen stellte sich raus, daß dies die Karte sei. Das Personal war sehr freundlich kamm aber leider nicht mehr an unseren Tisch nachdem wir unser Essen hatten. Also musste wir selber hin und Nachschub bestellen. Alle Burger waren sehr gut. Auch die Pommes sind selbstgemacht und super lecker. Essen Top am Service muss noch gearbeitet werden.

Tipp von meiner Seite: vielleicht zum Salat noch 1 oder 2 kleine Scheibchen Brot reichen.
Aber bei einem so netten Service kann man keinen Stern abziehen!
Super nette Bedienung ! Burger sehr lecker . Brötchen empfand ich als etwas zu hart . Fleisch und Saucen sehr lecker .
