We were visiting Frankfurt for a few days and my friend (who lives in Frankfurt) insisted on taking us here if we want to try great German food. I was excited to try it out, but I know I'm not a big fan of potatoes and meat.
We all ordered the Schnitzel, and this food was by far one of the best dishes I've had in all of Europe. I don't think I have ever eaten so much in one sitting, but it was that good. Even the potatoes were flavorful and cooked to perfection. If you're looking for some stellar German food, I would highly recommend Erbgut.
I was with a group and we all wanted to eat some typical German food (which included meat) and we were advised to go and check out Erbgut. The decors was very nice, some part of the restaurant felt classical with the wooden table and animal horns displayed on the wall while some other parts were quite stylish. We were seating at the main table that seat slightly above the ground, the table was for more than 20 people so it was split between our group of 8 and an other. The service was nice as we were guided towards choosing a good meal. The waitress was available and even did do the bill splitting per person at the end (which isn't that common or accepted in Europe). The food was very good, we shared appetizers to start with, they were ok and I had the mixed grill which was good but heavy with meat.
We had a great time and I would recommend this restaurant without issues. The place was clean and the atmosphere very good. I suggest a walk by the river just after.
We stopped in for a late lunch on a long layover. This place is a short 15 min from the airport. Good and service were both fantastic! Potato Sausage ear killer as was the Schnitzel. Staff were super friendly and accommodating to our group of 10.

Nice mood, casual pub. We had lunch there, the server is so kind and friendly. They have english menu and the menus are not so many. So you can choose your meal easy. I ordered potato and sausage. There was sauerkraut also, it was delicious. Also we ordered burger and cheese noodle. Both are so great. We loved! Wanna visit there again in the evening:)
This place is amazing! The owner came out and checked on us multiple times. The atmosphere is very cozy and CLEAN! My husband and I have been in Frankfurt for a week and this was one of the best meals that we had.
man, it was hot as fuck & needed to eat badly after hauling my ass around frankfurt & then hauling it through the stadel museum.
a quick yelp search gave me this place which was super inviting with a lot of outdoor seating (with umbrellas here & there, thank god) & extremely friendly staff who reassured me that they had a menus in english.
this is everything i wanted at that moment. warm service in a place that felt like it catered to locals (but were nice to tourists anyway), a huge plate of delicious food (can't go wrong with the potato wurst), & a cold elderberry bionade.
Fantastic meal with a great atmosphere. Had lunch here, and the owner was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Brought out their special "green sauce" and it goes great with everything.
Great place for brunch on a Sunday. They do two sittings at 10am and 12pm. They set up a big buffet with fresh bread, yoghurt, fruits and lots of cooked food. For a good price you can eat as much as you want. Buffet is replenished regularly. Overall definitely a fun venue to come with friends but can be quite loud. Good for young people
We were just wandering around downtown Frankfurt and unexpectedly stumbled upon this gem. Wish we had found it sooner for a late breakfast. Just had drinks here but the bartender Misa was awesome and so friendly, giving us tips on the city and just chatting us up between duties. We couldn't have felt more welcome and had a lovely few hours from the cold. It's people like Misa why we remember why we love Germans so much.
