I had the pleasure of playing here on 18 March, and I love the place. I worked in bars and restaurants for a long time in the States, and going out in Germany is generally a painful experience mthat leaves me enraged. Not at Granny Macs. These guys are absolutely killing it. Their staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, the food coming out of the kitchen looks and smells delicious and the owner genuinely cares about his guests.
I generally never go out unless I am playing a gig, but this is an establishment I will certainly be coming to with my family on my own time.

Okay so after my last visit here I really have to change the rating...
Not only do they still offer their normal food (which is fantastic) - Fish 'n Chips, Big Matt Sandwiches, Burgers, and lots of other yummy stuff - they now offer a DIY-Burger-Menu! This means you get to build your own burger! You can choose between different patties, sauces, toppings and sides - you could even build yourself a Hawaiian Chicken Burger with a fried egg on top...if you would ever consider something as gross as that ;) Just saying...you could!
The rest is still fantastic - great drinks (Bulmers & Guinness ftw!), nice pub atmosphere, really friendly and attentive staff, all around a fab place to hang out and have a drink or a bite to eat!
Bottom line:

Went to Erlangen to visit family and friends. We decided to go to the 2. Foodtruck RoundUp Erlangan, as it was on and it is only its 2nd time that it has been on in Erlangen, but it got really cold, so we decided to go to Granny Mac's to get out of the cold and to warm up a bit. I got the Irish Whiskey and it was really good. Afterwards, I tried my very first Guinness and it was better than I thought it would be. The atmosphere here is really good and I would go back again. Can't wait to try the food the next time I go back to Erlangen
Best burger I've had so far in Erlangen (or Germany, for that matter). Their fish and chips are also very good, as is the shepherd's pie. The servings are very generous and their drink selection is great.
It can get pretty crowded here, especially on weekends, but the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from an Irish bar.
Really nice Irish pub. Haven't tried the food yet but they offer a great variety of Irish ciders (Incl. Bulmers). You can enjoy Live music or watch soccer matches during for example the World Cup. I can highly recommend this pub for everyone who is looking for a fun night and great drinks!

Set a little off the main stream of pubs etc in Erlangen. Granny's is a Jem once found. Granny's has everything you want to find in an Irish pub, great atmosphere, live music, friendly staff, cold beer and Last but not least fantastic pub grub. What do you fancy...hmmm Fish and Chips they have it!! Mouth watering. Burger and Chips...yep amazing....you can even Build your own burger on Thursday's (some people have really been going over board on their taste buds here...lol.. fresh onions rings too die for) Cottage pie Yes Sir!! Dying of a hangover best cure ever big greasy Irish breakfast...again you won't be disappointed. .. Big Matts...now this is for all you meat lovers...baguettes filled with juicy meat sautéed onions,bell peppers sauce of your choice, cheese and grilled, chips..not only is it a sight for sore eyes,you will leave full as an egg licking your lips, wanting to come back again soon for more....salads, toasts, weekly specials...do I need to say more. Ok maybe one more thing...chilli cheese chips... heaven and back....
Great staff, great beer, great food. Enjoyed visiting this place immensely. Cottage pie with a little tabasco tastes like comfort. The only place in Erlangen to watch the rugby.
Die Burger sind spitze, hab alle probiert und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Ich finde es auch super, dass ich da auch mal Rugby schauen kann. Ist halt ein typisch britischer Pub. Ich liebe den Laden! 👍

Ein typischer, gemütlicher Irish Pub, der die übliche Bier- und Whiskeyauswahl ohne größere Überraschungen bietet.
Urige Kneipe mit toller Inneneinrichtung. Etwas hochpreisig, aber tolle Gerichte und gute Drinks.
Top Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen und eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Vor allem die verschiedenen Veranstaltungen und Aktionen lohnen sich!
