Some of the dishes here are definitely better than others. Items that are more of Vietnamese origin rather than Thai or Chinese are definitely better. With the exception of their broth based soups, which I found to be functional but not particularly interesting. The aromatics found in good broth based soups just wasn't there.
I love their cha lalot and Lemongrass pork. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options as mains that look very good but that I have had yet to try.
Contrary to other reviews, I found the service to be very efficient. They have always been polite and helpful whenever I have gone.
I'm surprised to see some of the reviews on this restaurant. I found the staff friendly and the food super good! The restaurant itself is pretty nice, especially the terrace. I particularly liked the vegan duck.

Of all the things that I am, connoisseur of Vietnamese food is certainly not one of them. I suppose I have avoided the cuisine for so long because so many dishes make use of fish sauce, and asking for it to be omitted can sometimes be a hassle (particularly when some cooks insist it is the cornerstone of a recipe).
But when I first heard about Huong Que - incidentally on the first date with my now-dude - I was intrigued. In particular, he spoke of the faux duck dish, which he said is not only exceptional, but also 100% vegan. Naturally, this was welcome news to me.
Fast forward a couple months and he decided to treat me to a meal here so I could experience it for myself. We rode our bikes over to the hip yet quaint Bergmannstraße, and since it was a Sunday afternoon, and Easter day no less, the place was relatively deserted.
We were seated immediately in a quiet corner, where we were able to take in the decor (dark furniture with splashes of colour, like the bright green ceiling) as well as partake in a bit of people watching. We both ordered the duck - one with peanut sauce and the other with coconut milk - and naturally shared bites with one another. And my goodness, it was amazing.
I've only had duck one time in my pre-veg days, and I remember it being rich but greasy. This vegan duck was rich but not so greasy, yet definitely full of flavour, and with a wonderful consistency to boot!
I know there are other veg options on the menu, but in all likelihood, I will not ever try them, because this is the only thing I am interested in; you just can't try to one-up perfection.
We have come here twice recently. Both times the food was great. They have a nice vegan menu and offer flavorful food that isn't oily. The one pretty bad downside to this restaurant is the service. To place an order, we feel like we are bothering the waiter. To ask for the bill, they also seem annoyed. I'm unsure why a sit-down restaurant exists if they don't want to serve people. If that's the case, simply have a takeaway restaurant.
We are by no means experts when it comes to Vietnamese food, but we really enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent. We had four different dishes and all tried each other's food. The ribbon noodles and curry sauce was excellent. We would eat here again.
Das Essen ist sehr gut und frisch, inkl. dem Sushi. Es waren wirklich sehr frische Zutaten in unserer Suppe und unserem Nudelgericht. Also wirklich zu empfehlen, dem entsprechend unterscheidet sich der Preis natürlich von dem Asia Imbiss nebenan. Schluss endlich können wir es empfehlen.
We lived next door to this place for a year, and it was one of our favorites. Great selection of vegetarian options. Authentic, complex flavors and fresh ingredients. Nice prices too - a good value for the money.
I haven't tried the pho' here myself, but my mom and boyfriend (both connoisseurs) say it's some of the best they've ever had.
(For what it's worth, I've been there many times and have never seen anyone pet the dog before serving food!)
Sehr leckeres, ausgewähltes asiatisches Essen. Hab mich da sehr wohl gefühlt
Tolles Essen mit einer großen Auswahl auch am vegetarischen und Veganer Gerichten. Die leckeren Drinks dazu passen perfekt. Der Service ist auch super freundlich und man wurde schnell bedient.

Was für ein schönes Restaurant! Ich war hier heute zum ersten Mal und war sehr positiv überrascht. Die Bedienung war super freundlich, die Auswahl der Speisen riesig, das Essen sehr frisch, heiß und sehr lecker. Was mich persönlich sehr gefreut hat, war die große Auswahl an veganen Gerichten. Preis Leistung fand ich angemessen. Gegen 20:30 wurde es etwas laut, da war aber auch jeder Tisch besetzt, was ebenfalls für das Restaurant spricht. Auch viele Singles haben hier allein schnell was gegessen. Offensichtlich nicht zum ersten Mal, denn sie brauchten nicht einmal die Karte. Bitte beachten, hier wird Bargeld bevorzugt.
Lecker und frisch, große Portionen, guter Preis, sehr schnelle Bedienung.
Wir sind min. 1x die Woche hier, weil einfach jedes Gericht von der Wochenkarte richtig gut schmeckt.
