I am surprised to realize i am the Duke of the place & have not reviewed the place..!!! We drive an hour from the Netherlands, just to come here for this meal, at this place. The service is friendly and fast, flavors are top notch, & the prices are affordable, portions are big..!!!
I haven't had any single thing on their menu i haven't liked.

First meal in Germany was at AKL Libanesisches Restaurant. My friend that lives in Aachen has been several times and loves it. Heck yes to some Lebanese eats.
We dropped in on a Tuesday evening (around 7:30pm). Cool that you can sit at the bar next door, Egmont and order food from AKL. Oddly, they only have a menu in German but if you've had Lebanese food, it's not too difficult to figure out what you want.
- Falafel sandwich (€3,30)
- Veggie mesa (€9,90)
- Grill teller (€12,20) - you get 2 lamb/beef skewers, 2 pork skewers, salad with chicken, pita and three sauces (garlic and hummus). A ton of meat.
Definitely would come back to AKL. Tasty food, good portions and reasonable prices.
Nice place next to a very busy bar. Order at the counter. Had an English menu. Friendly staff. Food was good. Very reasonable prices.

We ordered samosas and sishkebab and it was really good! The place it self is small and packed, a bit noisy but still okay. The staffs are very friendly and nice. It is much better to sitting outside and enjoy the city.
This is my favorite place to eat at while in Aachen. Delicious and healthy! Several completely vegan options.
Arguably the best restaurant I have ever been to in Germany. They make the best shawarmas in all of Germany. The trick lies in the AKL sauce which is like the best sauce in the whole world. I beg you to try the cheese rolls as a starter, followed by the grilled chicken on a skewer with the AKL sauce and fries. After coming out of the food coma, you should walk home to get rid of the feeling of guilt and pleasure which followed the food. Enjoy!
Nice place with nice food. A bit complicated when it comes to group ordering. But anyway, you enjoy your evening here.
Really great food. Everything is prepared in front of you after you order so you get to see all the ingredients and how they are used. Big menu on the wall and many people ordering or waiting to order all the time but they are quick getting you your food.
Very mouth-watering food, nice staff and for those of you, who want it more cosy, your order can be delivered to the Egmont just next door. And the prices are low I was impressed ;) But take care, if you dont like garlic ask for offers without it or invite your friends there, so nobody of you smells it anymore ;)
I can recommend the shawarma-menue, the hummus and the falafel, Samosas, Schish-Tawook-menue and the Mesa-plate Im getting hungry have to go ;)
Das Essen ist lecker. Aber Reis schmeckt nicht so gut. Und was finde ich schlimm ist, dass wenn du sitzt, musst du Getränke bei andere Restaurant bestellen weil AKL kein Platz haben.
Gerne komme ich hier mit meinen Geschäftspartnern her und kann mich darauf verlassen anständig betreut zu werden.Ich finde das Lokal zeitgemäß für allerlei Veranstaltungen unwesentlich ob mit Freund, Freunden oder Sippe ; ).Es ist immer fein und wir hatten da einen herrlichen Nachmittag.Ich für meinen Teil, kann sagen, solange bis jetzt hat uns noch nichts bedrückt! Es war jedes Mal eine Erfolg in meinem Mund.
Wir waren in der Bar nebenan wo sie das Essen auch anbieten. Das Essen kam schnell und war lecker. Ich hatte eine große gemischte „Platte“ um die libanesische Küche kennen zu lernen. Preis/Leistung für die Größe und Qualität ist gut.
Sehr leckeres Essen, die Auswahl vegetarischer und veganer Speisen ist groß. Am Wochenende zum Teil sehr voll, so dass man lange warten muss oder eine Bestellung mal untergeht.
Verwirrendes System bei der Bedienung und Abrechnung, aber leckeres Essen. Getränke werden separat aufgenommen und abgerechnet als das Essen. Habe erst später registriert dass wir in einer ans Restaurant angeschlossenen Bar Platz genommen hatten.
Egal ... Essen war sehr lecker. Bei der Schawarma kann man nichts falsch machen ...
