Sehr gute Karte, sehr guter Service. Sehr gute gelernte Bedienungen!

Himmlisch!

Schöner sitzt man fast nirgends.

Schöner Biergarten am See.

Nice beer garden in the middle of the English Garden and on the small lake inside. As many beer gardens there is both a restaurant and a self-service area. I just stopped for a beer (they have Paulaner) in a sunny day.

Vegan Cauliflower was delicious!! The atmosphere is wonderful on a nice day. We are on the a la carte side with a waiter and table cloths.. it was great service and prices were good for the value. My husband also really enjoyed his more traditional brautwurst and dumpling meal. We cleaned our plates!!

Went here for breakfast while on vacation in Munich. Loved the atmosphere. It's located right by the water inside the English Garden. It's very spectacular actually. The food was delicious. We had the French Toast and scrambled eggs. Espresso was exceptional as well.

I was at an event here this evening and ended up having dinner here. Like my previous review, location and ambience is definitely 5 stars. The food tonight was excellent and, I loved it. For starter we had a salad of mozzarella, avocado, red and green tomatoes and asparagus and I loved it. It was light, fresh and tasty. For main we were served a medium rare filet of beef with a curry butter, potatoes, asparagus and veggies with a nice jus. I absolutely loved the steak and devoured it ;-)) the dessert was a marinated strawberries with a lime sorbet end it was also very nice. The wine was good and the service very quick and polite. I will definitely come back for a dinner in the restaurant again. It's good quality food that is tasty. Whilst I recognize that this is not normal menu food, if it's like this in the restaurant, they will get me back for sure :-)

Went to lunch today It was windy but beautiful weather. Waiter was nice but the food should have been explained more - I ordered an artichoke (tasted like rubber) and falafel dish that also had an artichoke heart. Would have been nice to know that I was ordering artichoke heart twice! My friend ordered fish and chips - that he was upset about because the price was 35 Euro...for fish and chips??? Food came - mine tasted of nothing at all, and my friend got a 35 Euro plate of a bizarre combination of tempera mushrooms and fish and an unknown "paste" at the bottom. We paid $150 for the worse food we had in Munich!

It is a very nice restaurant by the lake and I mean, this is the more decent restaurant that is in the same vicinity overlooking the waters. Or else, you would need to go to that beer hall next door for average german food self-service. Does not mean the beer hall is bad at all. It is just different from what you would get at Seehaus. Seehaus has good wine selections at an average price, however, food is overall very overpriced and it is obviously geared up for tourists. As a result, we did not order any food but just wines sitting by the lake. Service was below average as the server looked obviously much LESS welcoming after he realized we are only here for drinks. 3 stars for location, ambiance, and decor like other yelpers pointed out but 1 star for service, really.

Decent pricing, good shade, decent view, and cold beer - what more could you want out of a beer garden. After spending several hours in the English Garden, really happy I stopped here before continuing on, the other gardens were much busier and less shady.

This place is super packed, and quite touristy. Lots of Americans here. It's really big though, and lots of seats by the lake, which is nice. Its in the English garden. Probably worth stopping by for at least one drink if you are visiting.

If you are in English garden and haven't visited this, then your tour of English Garden is not complete. A great place right in the middle of English garden. I call it say a beer garden by the side of a beautiful lake (don't know the name of lake though). The place is quite big with seating arrangement pretty well spanned around the lake. Best part is in summer you pick one of the benches across the lake with ducks swimming near you looking for some tiny chunk of food form your plate... :) I love feeding them, and some of them are pretty big - giant ducks. Regarding food I tried curry wurst and it was great. the service was also decent and pretty good. Also, if you want to throw a private party the same can be arranged in one section. The place in a good weather is always full. Overall, on a hot sunny day, if you are around English Garden don't miss the opportunity to hang around at this place - You gonna love it.

Came for quick bite and beer. Their sweet curry sauce was amazing! They serve paulaner here, a big plus! Also, the lakeside view is worth the walk here.

This is a great place to hang out and have a beer. We went to the Viktulienmarkt and picked up some food first before stopping here. Then just bought a few beers and sat at one of the benches by the water. Be careful when feeding the geese and ducks as they are relentless. Excellent place to relax

Had an okay lunch with my family, then got yelled at by an old blonde waitress who was very rude . Really ruined the experience, I would never recommend this place or return to it.

3.5 stars One should really come to Seehaus in the English Garden to relax and enjoy the view. On a nice sunny day, sitting by the lake in Seehaus is truly a delight! Sadly, aside from its location, Seehaus offers a so-so dining experience. The prices are on the higher end (e.g. currywurst and fries cost 9 EUR), and when we asked the staff some questions about food or what beers they have, we got condescending answers like we couldn't read signs or something. Not friendly whatsoever. The food (we tried Obazda with pretzel, Currywurst with fries, and Schweinwurstl) was good but nothing special. My tip (or as many locals would do this): Bring your own food and buy drinks there. That is certainly what I would do the next time I go there.

We rented a bicycle rickshaw to take us from near the entrance of the English Garden near the Japanese teahouse. Around there we saw young Germans actually surfing to the gushing river. Amazing! Our rider was young and energetic and provided some general park background info on EG (built In mid 1800,larger than Central Park; everything here man- made, etc.). The charge of 15 euro was a bit steep but helped save a lot of walking and cover the park in lesser time. We were taken to a restaurant spot on the side of a lake where there were paddle boats. We chose to eat at Seehaus, a self serve cafeteria style place when we went through a line pointing to food items we wanted including half chicken, curry wurst sausages, sauerkraut, potato salad, etc and, of course, cold beer. Lunch for 2 cost 29 euros. The atmosphere was a relaxing and it was a nice experience. Be prepared to pay some coins to use the toilets. Afterwards we headed northwest to the U Bahn Odeonsplatz station for train back to our hotel in Westpark.

Quieter and more attractively situated than it's more popular Englischer Garten neighbor to the south, the Biergarten at the Kleinheselhoffer See is a pleasant place to enjoy a Mass. Positive: You can sit right on the water's edge and watch the ducks and boats. Negative : Paulaner is not among the top Munich beers and the prices are higher than most places. I have not tried the food.

Amazing place to have a beer and some German food. Nothing better than a nice day to sit on one of the beergarden tables, relax, enjoy a beer with your friends and family and watch the world go by. A quintessential Munich experience.

After a long day of traveling and enjoying the Englishgarten, we were cold and tired and decided to eat at a regular restaurant instead of grabbing something in the garden. What a treat. First of all the ambiance was absolutely beautiful. Our server was so funny and made us feel so welcome. He gave us advice and assured us that everything they had was very good. The service was spectacular and he was attentive without being disruptive. We had a view of the Kleinheselhoffer See and there was a small wedding party in the patio area which was also fun to watch. All of our food was delicious and we commented that it was one of our best meals in Munich. We were so glad that we went there and would highly recommend the Seehaus. We also observed a local family celebrating some sort of family occasion. They were a large party and got excellent service as well. When it was time to leave, they called us a taxi and then chased after us when one of us left our shopping bag at the table. Seehaus is a lovely place to eat within the Englishgarten.

I've been here twice, both meals were great. The first time I had the dumplings in mushroom cream sauce and this evening I had the Zander with Mushroom risotto and Topfestrudel for dessert. The fish was fresh and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the Schnitzel and raved about it as well. The service is unfortunately slow however the waitress was very friendly.

The Seehaus is an old Munich establishment, know best for its outdoor Beer Garden directly on the "kleinhesseloher see" (a small lake). Paddle boats are available for rent (somewhat expensive). The food at Seehaus is good, albeit more expensive than a normal Beer Garden, but totally worth it if you ask me (Location, Location, Location!). If you can get a table in the first row (directly on the lake shore), you really can't get any better. The restaurant indoors isn't really a highlight IMHO, since there are other places in town that have more character. The Seehaus is best for days with beautiful weather (sunny + blue skies). Even if its not raining and overcast, I don't recommend this place (unless its nice and warm).

We enjoyed our Brunch here. The food was excellent and they offered a large variety of different food items. My wife said it was out of this world! The service was good and we had a nice tabe with a beautiful lake view.
