Sehr empfehlenswertes vietnamesisches Restaurant!

Came here with 2 friends. We all loved it. It was worth the train ride to locate it. Excellent service and the food was out of this world! Fresh and great flavour. One of the best meals I had in Munich. Prices were also reasonable. I would recommend the Com Am Phu

This was such a delicious meal. After a week of sausages, schnitzel, pretzels and beer, we were craving some different flavors, not to mention some veggies! The reviews on yelp led us to this spot. Go early as it's a small restaurant and it gets PACKED. The waitstaff spoke English which was nice and the menu featured our favorite Vietnamese dishes like pho, summer rolls, noodles, and bam xeo. They pho came with usual accompaniments like lime wedges, herbs, chili's and hoisin / sriracha sauce. Save room for the mango sticky rice!! If we were here longer I'd definitely be back. So good!

Go. Go now! We had been traveling through Europe and I needed something besides beer and sausage (German food all week). We found this charming, family owned Vietnamese restaurant. The sons speak English or German. The parents do the cooking. Lots of vibrant people in this small restaurant. It gets packed quickly. We got there around 7 which was just before they ran out of tables. This is definitely more of a local spot in Munich.

My first time to Munich and I chose here because of its great reviews. It exceeded my expectations! Everything was delicious and fresh and healthy. The server were very nice and very helpful. I had peppermint tea with rice noodles and prawns and my friend had the Vietnamese coffee with a small pho and summer rolls. If we were in Munich for longer I'd definitely be inclined to go back. Not too expensive either considering just how delicious it was. Best Vietnamese I've had (not that I'm an experienced Vietnamese eater). The restaurant itself is adorable. Small and quaint with adorning decorations. At one point I wasn't fully putting on all of my dressing and the main gentleman behind the counter recommended I use more and reassured me it was a healthy lemon sauce, as if he read I was second guessing it. So I did as he requested and was glad I did so! It was also helpful that they spoke English and had an English menu.

This is our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Munich. The food is delicious, everything on the menu! Service is so fast and friendly. We are so lucky to have this jewel in our neighborhood!

Surprised to find such great Vietnamese food in Munich! It's a family business and the food tastes really authentic. It is not diluted or changed to fit the German tastes. Really great food - must try. Also their home made deserts are excellent and why better what you normally would get. Price is average. Friendly service, very attentive and quick. Make sure you have a reservation as it's always booked and packed for dinner time.

We found this place through a different review site that boosts great reviews. It's tucked away in a small neighborhood not far the Sendlinger Tor Metro station. We were challenged with the Vietnamese menu that was written in German. SO word-by-word we began to break the code with an app on our phone. About 20 minutes into this game the owner came to our table and Mr. Giao asked if he could help us. Laughing away we asked him with help in ordering and he kindly made some recommendations. We had a sampler plate of many different items, A beef and a vegetable plate as our main course. For dessert we ordered a dish that most others were getting, it was fried banana with ice cream in the center. I don't remember the names of the dishes but I may have photos to put up soon. Mr Giao and his son were super nice to us in our language barrier, but this must be why they have high ratings. The food was absolutely fantastic, I will come back here when I return to Munich. If you are in the area and in the mood for Vietnamese flavor this is a must! Cheers!

Pho Bo!? Pho sho. (ok sorry, bad...but the pho bo is quite good...so please hang with me!) Nam Giao is a cute little Vietnamese restaurant tucked away just a block or so from Goetheplatz. I've been twice for lunch and each time was pleased, and each time I didn't venture far from the Pho Bo. If it ain't broke, don't fix it? Indeed. The second lunch in particular was the most notable as it was wet, rainy and freezing in our office. We popped over for a warm-up, and I felt my insides thaw as the steaming beef broth melted the icy fringe away. Instant feel good! It's not the best broth I've ever had (missing some oomph)...but always served hot. You can order large or small, but I recommend the large for better value. It comes with all the appropriate fixings, of course. The service is always good, and it is always bustling for lunch AND dinner...it's a small restaurant but well situated, and quite welcoming. A nice little spot to enjoy a meal with friends or solo...! I've eaten more Vietnamese food in Germany than I did in NYC!

Best Pho in Munich for sure!! The restaurant is small and a little bit harder to find than some of the bigger named touristy places but this is a great little Vietnamese spot with authentic food and really great staff. All their dishes are wonderful but I especially enjoy the Vietnamese spring rolls and Pho. It's hard to find good Pho in Munich and this is my go to spot now. After being in Vietnam last year and living in CA my whole life previously, I can definitely say I haven't had more authentic Vietnamese in Munich.

When we were first planning our trip to Munich, we were planning to focus on German food, but I am so happy we decided to take a break and try Nam Giao 31. It was the best Vietnamese food I ever tried. We arrived with no reservations for six people. We were told there would be a fifteen minute wait, so we asked instead if we could eat outside. Since it was a chilly night, they brought us all blankets, and five minutes later nicely moved a couple to a different table in order to make room for our table inside. I tried both the pho and their vermicelli bowl with grilled beef wrapped in green leaves and both were fantastic. Location - 5 minutes from Oktoberfest, 10 minutes from Marc Hotel München

Thanks to fellow Yelpers for helping me to discover this charm! This little eatery is located in a quiet area blocks away from Goetheplatz. The decor is simple (black chairs, white tablecloths) yet elegant (bamboo placemats, small flower centerpieces). There are little tables for couples or long tables for groups. Service was on par. We ordered the green papaya salad with shrimps as starter. It was spicier than I prefer, but overall taste was decent. The shrimps were big and of high quality. We then got one of their recommendations (which were written on a huge chalk board), sautéed squid in brown sauce with vegetables and rice, and a vegetarian dish, sautéed tofu in brown sauce with veg and rice. Both dishes were about the same in preparation, and both were fine. The price was a bit high for what we get. But it was worth it when we each got a complementary mango drink served in a martini glass at the end of our meal. I look forward to try their other dishes!

Very good food and cute atmosphere. Prices are quite reasonable and though I have been to quite a few Vietnamese places before they had dishes here I had never tried. I got shrimp summer rolls, which were very fresh with a tasty peanut sauce, and a vegetarian mushroom dish that is described as a Buddhist speciality. Others had rice bowls and soups, and all were happy with their meals. And the staff was very accommodating of allergies and taste preferences. Definitely worth a visit!

A little gem of a restaurant. The best Pho I think I've ever tasted. The owner? recommended a crispy shrimp starter that was great. I don't remember the name but it was #11 on the menu. The house special tea is so much more than tea and is another definite. Looking forward to returning. Note it is very small and a reservation is a must!!

Such a nice place... small, clean and great food. I have been there 4 times and the owner is always enjoying wine (Sometimes too much). The service is good and fast. The food is very tasty. For a Vietnamese restaurant, the price is a little higher that what you might expect.

Loved this restaurant. My husband and I eat authentic Viet food back at home in the US regularly and found this restaurant really good! Little expensive/smaller portion than what we are used to back at home but the service and atmosphere was great.

We were in town for Oktoberfest and looking for Phó. We went here based off of the reviews and we're not impressed. Chicken on the noodle bowls was VERY dry. Phó small was so small wouldn't fill you up at all. Coconut soup was pretty good.

Just go, great food, great local atmosphere. Amazing! Get a reservation, locals fill it up!

Some of the best damn pho I've ever had! this is good place to go when you want a break from all the heavy german kraut and brats and crispy pork knuckle. I also had the duck breast and wow just a killer job on the food at this place. Watch out for the little red peppers if you dont like spicy food, cause there pretty damn hot!

We ordered the pho and it was authentic and tasted great. However, the portions are way too small and we had to go to Macdonald's and get another full meal there. The price is also much higher than what it would cost in our country (Canada). The large pho we had is as big as the XS pho we are used to
