Preis unschlagbar.

Kommen gerne wieder!

Preislich im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz echt gut! Die Bedienung war freundlich und sehr flott. Der Geschmack war sehr gut. Die Portion war unfassbar groß. Mir hätte die gute Hälfte gereicht. Wahnsinn! Qualität und Preis Leistung top.

Great little find thanks to Tripadvisor reviews. We were warmly welcomed even though busy. We were told it could be 15 minutes or so before they had a free table, but they found us one within about 5 minutes. The menu is great value, very tasty food and a good choice of drinks. My husband had a Holzfäller Steak (pork steak) and I had Wiener Schnitzel. Both were beatifully cooked and decent sized portions (the Schnitzel is so big that the salad is served in a separate dish). Great beer too. Despite being very busy the whole time we were there the staff are very friendly and provide great service. Highly recommended

Great place with a lovely vibe. Staff were charming and the food was great. I went for beer and schnitzel and I got great beer and schnitzel . Just a lot cheaper than elsewhere in Munich.

Great atmosphere, busy but staff were amazing; efficient, calm and knowledgeable. Book a table, we were lucky because only two of us and we managed to sneak onto a table before the reservation time. Food was fast, fresh and delicious. Value for money, worth a visit.

The best I have tried in Munich! Cozy place, very good food, huge portions, cheap prices and excellent service. Reservation is highly recommended. 5 stars and tip well deserved

Everything we ordered was incredible, schnitzel & hirschgoulash were the best we have ever tasted, a real treat. The staff were very friendly, squeezed us in to sit at the bar and helped us with translation. Can't wait to come back!

Great value, tasty food, very quick. Place is a bit small, that can 10 tables that can accommodate up to 6. They are always busy, chances are you will share the table with another party, unless you make reservations. Very reasonable prices and portions.

Lecker Schnitzel, spitzen Bier und die Bedingungen schnell, freundlich nicht zu topped. Definitiv wieder.

Here here on 21 December night, after reading many positive local reviews for this place. The place is packed to the brim, but waiting time wasn't too long since I was dining alone. Worth waiting for amazing schnitzels, good beers, lively atmosphere and speedy service all at reasonable prices. Reservations is strongly advised due to very limited seating capacity, but be sure to try dining here! ;)

Fantastic schnitzel with giant proportions. Dunkel Weisse beer to wash it down. Great pricing too.

This is ridiculously good wienerschnitzel. To be honest, I don't remember much of this visit, as it was after a full day at Oktoberfest. But my pictures told the story. The beer was flowing and the schnitzel was crispy. This is a Munich must!

Our group came on a Saturday night at around 10pm and it was semi-full but we were able to get a table for four. The food was average, but pretty good nonetheless. Really great environment and really quick service. It is kind of a hike to get there from Marienplatz where we were staying, but it was a nice walk to get there and explore some of outer Munich.

I have been to Steinheil 16 three times in the past year and it has been consistently delicious each time. Although they have an extensive menu, I have only ever tried the Käsespätzle and Schnitzel because not only are they absolutely delicious, but they are extremely large portions for a great price. Definitely more than enough for two people to share. Also, the servers are very nice and speak perfect English. It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation if you plan to go for dinner, as there was a line outside the door when I initially went in December. Making a reservation was super easy since you can make them online through OpenTable.

Incredible schnitzel. Worth going! Beware: restaurant is very hot with no AC so make sure you a table outside. Also, schnitzel portions are enormous so share if you're not too hungry! Otherwise the rude waitstaff will shame you for not finishing your portion.

Have been here 20 years ago, and I don't think they changed a thing. Cheap, huge, bland Schnitzels with deep fried potatoes and salads drenched in rich, bland dressings. Bonus: you will walk out smelling like a deep fried Schnitzel with beer, too. 2** for the food, 1* extra for consistency and pricing...

Fantastic schnitzel! Super large and tender. Also had a warm aperol spritz which was great when we wanted to heat up with some glüwein but they were all out.
The service is great and price very fair. The waiter and waitress treated us well and explained what they had because we don't speak German. We ordered two meat meals and the volume is just huge for our Asian appetites. My friend loves her fries and said it's the best one she ever had. The pork steak is good, but not surprisingly good. The turkey steak is yummy, and I love the sauce with the potato. Overall the taste is good but no to the extent of amazing. Nice service, though.

Best schnitzel we has all week in Munich. Huge portions and great food. Sub fries for spaetzel for a small price (worth it). Wife ordered pasta and it was ok. Strongly recommend making reservations on open door before you go. The restaurant is small and most of the tables were reserved when we stopped by for dinner.

My friend and I came here while visiting Munich because we were told they have some of the best schnitzel in the city. We were not disappointed, the schnitzel was excellent. This cute little restaurant was packed with people so you may have to wait for a table but it was 100% worth the wait. The waitress was great, very friendly and the service was quick. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it to anyone that was an authentic schnitzel experience.

Last night in Munich. Not a bad choice for food. Portions are downright generous here and the price is quite inexpensive. Order one plate for every two people or you'll have some serious trouble finishing. Also, a reservation helps. We snuck in early as a party of 4 before a table that was arriving at 7:30pm. What to get: spaetzle and schnitzel. The curry wurst was OK, but it tasted (for an American) just like a hot dog in a bed of ketchup with curry powder. Good, but kind of wished I was eating something more unique.

This is a great stop in Munich for trying out one of the most traditional of German foods--Schnitzel! I made a really noob mistake and got one order of schnitzel for myself...bad idea. You get two pieces of schnitzel the size of your head on top of a healthy helping of potatoes or fries, PLUS a small bowl of salad on the side. If you are not the guy from Epic Mealtime, you are not finishing this in one sitting on your own. The space is nice and service is friendly (and English-friendly) and they serve Augustiner beer like every other place in Munich. If you're looking for wiener schnitzel this may not be your place, but they do a great pork schnitzel. Super crispy and thin, and the potatoes are great, too.

After reading every Yelper's review of this place, I decided that I was going to end a month-long voyage of sampling the best schnitzel in Austria and Germany here. Unfortunately, I think I could have found many better places to provide me a send-off than Steinheil 16. To start, the only waitress at the time of my arrival was clearing a table and told me to sit anywhere I liked. The restaurant was fairly empty, with maybe 6 other tables seated and working through various stages of their meals, so I took a back corner whereupon she came back and left me the menus - and left me alone. After minutes of peering around and looking for her, the bartender noticed me and kindly came around to take both my food and drink order. Unfortunately, as I'm not a fan of pumpkin soup and they couldn't do the chili in a half-portion as a starter soup, I went with the schnitzel, a starter salad, and a beer. My waitress finally came back over and asked if I was ready, and seemed surprised that I'd already been looked after. The starter salad was okay, although somewhat heavy on the creamy dressing. The schnitzel itself was the let-down. Not really all that large (give Cafe Einstein Stammhaus in Berlin or Zu den drei Hacken in Vienna a look), and dry enough that I needed to ask for additional lemon just to give it some flavour. Worse off were the roasted potatoes, which had obviously been sitting out for so long that they were cold, and only the ones underneath the schnitzel were warmed by the radiated heat of the meat. It was getting late, my waitress hadn't bothered to come check up on me to see if I needed another beer or the meal was okay, I was tired from 4500km of driving, and I wasn't about to argue the point, so I tucked in to it. Feeling vaguely let down by the meal, I looked to the dessert menu to see if there was anything to salvage it. With the chill of winter approaching, I figured a hot chocolate with rum and their homemade tiramisu would set me to rights, and they absolutely did. The hot chocolate arrived quickly in a massive cup that was nearer to a fishbowl in capacity, and the rum complemented the cacao perfectly. Unfortunately, the tiramisu took quite a bit longer, and as I'd heard shouting from the kitchen when my dessert order was taken I'm going to have to assume it had already been packed away for the night. Still, when it did arrive it was a fantastic example of tiramisu - rich, creamy, deep, and a surprisingly large portion. When I finally asked for the bill I was informed that the card machine wasn't working. Then I was informed that it was working, but that it didn't provide print-outs. I agreed, only to find that the card machine was providing print-outs for me to sign, but not for me to take a copy with me so I took a photo of the bill as proof and was on my way. All told, while the price was fair, I think that the quality of the main course left a lot to be desired and was probably more in line with what I would have expected to find at a highway-stop grill than in the heart of München. The rum hot chocolate and tiramisu are not to be missed, but maybe consider this for a dessert stop rather than your actual meal.

Ahh Steinheil 16 This place is outrageously good for so many reasons. First and foremost is the fact that the staff is super pleasant, which sadly is kind of a rare thing in Munich. The second reason...that schnitzel . Holly hell, do yourself a favor and split one order with a friend. I have never seen such a big piece of fried meet served up as an individual portion. Could I have put down a whole one by myself? Absolutely. would it have impaired my ability to continue consuming beer for the rest of the night? Better believe it. Something of note in this place is the wines they offer up. Go for the Local (read: cheap) glasses, you wont be disappointed at all; the white in particular was quite good with the schnitzel, especially when doused in lemon (do this). The beer selection is quite good, and not overly expensive , though you won't find full liters on offer here- a good thing when you think about how much food you'll be consuming while sitting at the sharable tables. I didn't get a chance to try anything else at this place, as both times I came it was for the fried amazingness (if you come here once, my money is on you coming back before you leave). all that said, the chili looked quite good, if I had time (and a second stomach) I'd probably give it a shot. A guy can dream right?

Really nice atmosphere but can feel a tad crowded. Portions are huge but luckily the food is delicious. Recommend the schnitzel and fries!

This was one of my favorite places to eat in Munich. All I ask for is an expertly fried hunk of meat and they certainly did the job. We visited this restuarant twice during our Munich adventures. The first time was on a weeknight around 9pm. It was busy but not overflowing. We were able to get a seat inside at the end of one large table (sharing with just one other couple). Our servers were adorable and very sweet to us the entire time. We ordered a few beers then ordered the largest schnitzel I've ever had the pleasure of eating. It was served with an abundance of fries so we easily were able to share between the two of us. Like I mentioned earlier, it was deliciously fried and tasty to boot. A little drizzle of lemon on top and you are good to go. If we ended up staying, we would have tried something later on but it seemed like the place was slowing down around 1030 so we left for another beerhall. We had enjoyed the meal so much that we decided to head back for our last evening in Munich, which happened to be a friday. We decided to get there a bit early so we didn't interupt any reservations but we ended up sitting at the bar anyway because a few were planned to arrive within an hour. I ordered wine this time around (I will not lie, I was starting to get sick of beer by this point). We had ordered with a server who clearly did not like us being there. She plopped our drinks down without a word. We ordered the same dish to share and she placed it next to us without even mentioning that it would be there. Thankfully a sweet young guy was behind the bar by this point and began to serve our refills as well as provide us with a second plate to share our meal. I hope that woman was just having a rough night and didn't treat all of her foreign guests that way. Either way the food was exceptional both nights and the space itself was not super packed, but definitely busy. I loved the schnitzel and because we split the food, the bill was quite low. I would definitely suggest trying this place out if you are in the neighborhood!

I had a great time here. Very friendly service, in addition to a terrific German comfort food menu. I ordered the Käsespätzle because of the recommendations on this site. It didn't disappoint. I would've ordered the Schnitzel too, but the portions are too big for that silliness. Another reason to come back.

Great food as always! Dropped in this restaurant the first time I was in Munich and I have to say I am not disappointed at all this time. All dishes are of decent amount and they are really inexpensive. Beer is also very good.

Huge portions and yummy schnitzel. Cozy restaurant with great prices. Some of the other diners were eating some very tasty looking plates as well. Make a reservation or be disappointed if they can't seat you.

This was the best Schnitzel in Munich! Victoria was awesome! She seated us fast and drinks and food came quickly. Would highly recommend this place! Schnitzels are large and can be shared between two people.

Such awesome food. Good drinks and prices. Victoria will take care of everyone especially while it's busy. Highly recommended this place.
