True Bbq & Whiskey Bar

We stopped by to see what kind of BBQ this area of the country serves, and it was a good experience. The facility is very nice, and not what I would think of when I think "bbq". The staff were great and very helpful, and the whiskey selection was great. The food was all unique and very savory. I had the Smoked Cuban sandwich and it was pretty awesome. You can tell they definitely put effort into everything they made, which I appreciated. I'd definitely go back if I'm around this area again.

Cute restaurant, great atmosphere, and strong drinks. I love the vegan menu and variety of BBQ sauce options. We sat outside on the patio and there’s a fire pit in the center of the table. Great touch 👌🏾, I wish we visited at night to see the fire. I would definitely visit again. The three cheese Mac and cheese was pretty good as well.

I was invited to a friends bday dinner! We sat on the bar side by the fireplace. I was concerned about being cold but this was not a issue at all. It was a rainy damp evening so the fireplace setting was a thumbs up! The ambience was lovely. Out of two appetizers i ordered i wasent informed they were out of the other until my one arrived. The alligator was not fried hard enough for me it was chewy but some of the other guess enjoyed. I never recieved my side of brussel sprouts to go with my entree or my second drink. Our party did not enjoy having too figure out how to split the bill in the end amongst 12ish people. Just a fyi a hand held device has been invented where you split the bill at the table side. Ive experienced it at another restaurant. That process was a whole headedache. Overall the food was good and our server was nice but maybe a lil overwhelmed. It was alot of us to serve. Considering all the above is why i give a 4 star review.

I've been going to True for the past few years now on a regular basis and they never disappoint. The food and drinks are exceptional, but more importantly, the service from everyone there is extraordinary! The staff makes you feel like family! The atmosphere is definitely a place of peace for me. Mike (manager) is so accommodating and welcoming. The staff (Brit, Lexi, Tony, Eric, Amanda, everybody 😂) is fantastic. I recommend this restaurant to anyone! Go check it out, you will not be disappointed!
