This is my go to steak place in k-town. I the selection of beers helps. I almost always get the Brazilian. The staff is friendly and on top of their game. The place is always packed and the food is well prepared and timely. This where we like to start our night on the tOwn.

cozy pub feel with a decent menu. outdoor heated patio and a great wait staff. Friendly and speaks English. Smoking is allowed inside so best for smokers. We ordered red wine but want crazy about it. The server insisted to find one we liked and brought out a few types to taste! We ordered a plate of fries-huge portion. only salads for vegetarians. Definitely recommend this restaurant to have a few drinks!

Brauhaus is my favorite place to eat in Germany!! It's a great location right in front of the beautiful church where you can hear the bell toll each hour. Delicious microbrews, and food. The seasonal beer was a west coast pale ale with flavors of mango and hops. The Hefeweizen is perfect for a hot day or anytime as a light beer. A German classic always on tap with hints of banana and clove. The Schnitzel Salad is incredible!! Order it with the house dressing which is delectable, and it also comes with quark on the side. Crisp salad with veggies and a large amount of crispy schnitzel on top. We always have great friendly service here.

This place was OK. Definitely a 3 1/2 or 4 star but I had a bad experience where the waitress forgot one our our dishes and did not get it out for over an hour. It was just a salad. The waitress ran off with my change and never came back. She gave herself at 32.00€ tip for bad service on a 106€ bill. Very frustrating. Food was alright. They had schnitzel and steak. I did not get the steak but it seems that is their specialty dish. They make their own beer which is cool but I'm still new to germany and would like to try all the great German beers before dipping into local craft beer. Just like in the states the craft beer was way more expensive compared to one of the great German beers of the area.

Awesome atmosphere in this what appears a small establishment but opens up to a large table 'outdoor' area in the back. The tall beer taps were great and the food was on point, we were all happy with our dinner choices and drinks. I had jacky cola and a flamekuchen that was amazing. Service was also on point with our waitstaff.

First time to Germany... Not our first German restaurant on our first visit to Germany.... 3 orders of Rumpsteak with potatoes the meat was not tender "rough" and the potatoes had a burnt taste. The salad had an onion dressing "yuck" and Penn Trentino had whole pepper corn that was hard to eat " over load of pepper" heartburn is happening. Please no lemon in our cokes...... Not my restaurant. I know we did not have a reservation, but we are paying customers.... Who would be okay with being told there is no room for us to eat there as to being served bad food.

Went here for beer and returned the next day for dinner in the back where there was no smoking. The food was excellent. I sampled some local cuisine and tried the German version of Mac and Cheese, it was delicious. I'm going to start putting sautés onions on my Mac and Cheese.

Stopped by here with some friends and got a beer tower. The beer was awesome and then I ordered the Brats with mashed potato and kraut. All of it was delicious. Wife ordered a pizza and it was some of the best pizza I have had in a LONG time. Staff is friendly and they take credit card too.

This was the first German restaurant that I had the fortune of visiting on the day I arrived and I've been back many times since. The food here is fantastic, especially if you are a big fan of schnitzel. I've also had their steak, more pricey, but worth every Euro! This is a full service brewery too with at least four beers made here and on tap. I've had the weizen, pils, helles lager, and a dunkel. Each are good beers for their styles. My only beef with this place is that service is sometimes slow. Food and beer comes quickly enough but you might wait a bit to get your check. If you stay at the Saks hotel, this is a short walk around the corner and worth a visit. Same goes for anyone else in the area. Prost!

Poor customer service. Only writing this review because ive been waiting for 45minutes for my order.

In the grand scheme of German restaurants that serve beer and food, Brauhaus am Markt does a little bit more by brewing their own beer. Unfortunately, that beer isn't particularly good, with the same kind of hefeweizens, kellerbiers, and helles that you can find from larger producers. There was a saisonbier - a red pale ale - that was a little more distinctive, but nothing to make me come back. The marginal draw of the homebrewed beer is bolstered by the expansive patio dining options available for people-watching the many visitors of downtown Kaiserslautern. The pleasure of sitting outside and enjoying a schnitzel or sausage platter on a nice day is worth the price of admission, even is the finely-breaded pork, the typical pommes, and the tart potato salad didn't stand out from the other half-dozen similar offerings from other German restaurants we've experienced in our short time here.

Restaurant in Kaiserslautern, Germany**** downtown k town. My hubby and I were strolling though downtown k street in Germany and we had no idea where to eat. We literally picked a restaurant that looked the most busy. We did this assuming the more people were at the restaurant the better the food would be. I am so glad I went with this common sense of logic. The food, in fact, ended up being so delicious in the mist of our hunger. Tips: -Order their potato side rather than their rice. My favorite potato side was their fried potato. The fried potato comes out similar to home fries like back in the states. - order their beer sampler and then from there you can decide which one of the beers you want to order a larger size of. The beer sampler is about 3.5 euros. So it's a cheap way to try a wide range of their beer selection. This beer sampler comes with four different sample size of their more popular beers. 2 light beers, one middle beer and one dark beer. - eat outside on the patio if the whether allows it. - order your steak medium rare in order to receive it as medium. (Kind of disappointed in this) Overall, the food really blew me away. I am so happy I stumble across this restaurant on my Germany adventure.

Great beer, great food. We asked our waiter what beer to try and he brought out a tray of sample glasses! We went here for my friend's birthday and they brought her a piece of cake with a sparkler. Would definitely go back

Definitely the best place I've eaten at in the KMC so far. The atmosphere is romantic, the food was excellent, and the staff/menu are accommodating! The restaurant seems to be sectioned into a smoking and non-smoking sides. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the dipping sauces were a delicious compliment. I wanted to order the fried potatoes, but they were out, so instead got potato wedges which were fine. The schnitzel has a crispy crust, and paired well with the cream sauce. The bolognese pasta/schnitzel was excellent and a huge portion. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. The only thing that was difficult was parking, but that is not the restaurants fault.

1.5+ hour wait for food today. Then my order was wrong.Unacceptable. Highly suggest if sitting outside (or inside after 10pm). The ambience has changed. Been a BIG fan of this restaurant for over 6 years but was severely disappointed tonight when they were playing Sade-esque music. I almost fell asleep in my (delicious) beer. The waiter said the music changes after 10pm. The food was amazing as always, but the brauhaus atmosphere was completely lost.

Great place downtown to eat. The portions were large and the schnitzel and potatoes I had and the salad my wife had were delicious! We were able to get in and get out quickly in order to get to an appointment even though they were very busy. Wait staff were all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely enjoy the Brauhaus am Markt many times in the coming years we are in Germany.

In the marketplace area...looks a lil shady but well worth the venture from Ramstein AFB. Ordered the Brunch which was all you can eat buffet that also had Mimosa for just €1,50 ! It had classic scrambled American eggs, sausage and bacon or full on german breads with cheeses and meats. Assorted fruits and a make your own crepe station. Really worth the money in my opinion. My hubby also posted to Yelp while there and waitress immediately came to table and stated that boss thanked him for the post and drinks were on Him !!! So yes it pays to YELP in here

Arrived a little late for brunch. Ordered the curry sausage with pommes instead, along with a baileys latte macchiato Wife ordered the schnitzel with gravy and pommes. We enjoyed our meals. Great food and ambiance. Really nice atmosphere.

The bier is wonderful. The food is good but nothing extraordinary. I had dinner there last Friday with a large group of work colleagues. Service was excellent, efficient, and fast. The helles bier, as I said, is wonderful. Unless you've got a lot of drinkers skip the bier towers which really don't save much money and just allow the bier to warm up... My wife had the Brauhaus salad which she enjoyed. I had the gratinee flammkuchen which was good as well (I've had the schnitzels before and was underwhelmed so I went with something different this time). Go to Brauhaus am Markt for great helles bier. If you're looking for great German food go elsewhere.
