Good food but our waitress was so unfriendly and tried her best to overcharge all of us. She ignored us throughout our stay there and while I know it can take a while to get your bill, it was beyond ridiculous and very obvious she was intentionally ignoring us.

Nice setting.. plenty of seating inside and out.. a little overpriced and staff could have been a little friendlier.

Staff really friendly. Huge selection of breakfast options. Lovely olde-worlde atmosphere. Great loos.

We were totally ignored and their staff is not friendly. Is not a kids friendly place. We are no going back ever again.

Spitzenklasse. Ich bin richtig froh. Jederzeit wieder!!!

I love this place. Staff is always friendly. I love their strudel with warm vanilla sauce.

delicious cake. good chocolate samples were out. can't speak to other offerings, but I don't get the low rating here. I've eaten cake at many places across Germany, this is one of my favorite. Plenty of choices, lovely setting. I do agree black coffee is only OK, but that's not why I come to a Konditorei.

This place had us returning every morning for breakfast. The eggs Benedict and paleo breakfast were wonderful.

We had a delicious meal here in Garmish on a stop between Munich and Füssen. Our server was very nice and attentive and patient with my questions in English. We were there with our five year old daughter and as we were getting ready to leave, she attempted to say "food was delicious, thank you" in German and our waitress rewarded her with sweets. A very nice touch. The sausages and Ham and cheese toast were excellent as was the fantastic dessert. Prices were very reasonable. Great spot!

Been in Garmisch for a week, so far, and have come to Kroenner every single day for coffee and cake. Fabulous!! This location is the best Kroenner location! Excellent quality food that one notices right away. You can look at the cakes in other locales around Garmisch - but do not eat them. You will have wasted your money. Kroenner's cakes are expert and as you may notice very fair prices. Kroenners also has a fine breakfast and lunch menu - breakfast is really outstanding, again everything is freshly prepared. My only recommendation for this Cafe is that they need to hire more staff. Every summer it is the same problem: it takes a very long time to have your order taken and then it takes a very long time to find the waitstaff to pay the bill. Even though this is the case, I continue going because the cakes are perfection and a perfect representation of TRUE German cakes at their finest.

This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. We went for breakfast and ordered a bit of a banquet We had the traditional Bavarian breakfast ( 2 sausages and a pretzel), granola with milk, croissant, puff pastry with ragout fin and coffee. The sausages were very good. The flavour was mild and not overpowering which is nice when your not used to eating that style of food. The pie was great. The pastry was amazing, flaky and fresh. It contained small pieces of veal in a cream sauce with capers. There is nothing bad I can say about the breads. Seriously they are delicious. Just as a side note: bread in Germany IS SO GOOD. The price tag is a bit high but they have an amazing selection of delicious foods

A great cake and chocolate shop / cafe in town. I have been here twice for cake and they do make a good selection of cakes and pastries. My personal favourite I discovered today is their Boselbreze (or I think that is the name for it), a sweet pretzel shaped pastry that is made from marzipan, pastry and cream....oh my god :-))) it was crumbly, sweet and delicious ;-) They have a great selection of cakes by the slice for having at the cafe or for takeaway. Their chocolates are also pretty good, although, if you are after chocolate walk a few doors down to the wonderful chocolatier ladies. This is a place for me to stop every time I am in Garmisch and, even if I don't buy anything, I always step in for a browse.

If you're looking for some great cakes and pastries, look no further! We stopped in for some tea and coffee to escape the cold and enjoyed some lovely pastries. We ended up coming back for breakfast the next day, which was even better. We ordered a vegan breakfast (very delicious), a Bavarian breakfast, and a sports breakfast, which was plenty for 5 people. We left feeling stuffed, but very happy!

A nice little rooftop bar was an enjoyable place to grab a beer with some friends and do some people-watching, and take in some nice views of the Alps.

An outdoor cafe with a huge patio right on the promenade and a good selection of cakes and desserts. The waiters will take your drink order, but if you want a dessert you have to go inside and pick it out first. The staff behind the counter will then give you a ticket to give to the waiter. It's a bit roundabout. I got the apple strudel with vanilla sauce (after eyeing it on someone's plate the day before) and it was friggin' delicious. The apple strudel itself is quite good, but the vanilla sauce is simply brilliant. It tastes like melted vanilla bean ice cream mixed with a rich, creamy custard. Although it wasn't enough to detract from the experience, I do have to mention that our waitress was a bit short and ill-tempered. She originally brought out three different desserts, two of which weren't ours, and then got mad at us like it was our fault. Later, before we paid, she huffed and walked away when she saw that we hadn't yet finished our desserts. Like I said, not the biggest of deals, but definitely not a positive reflection on the cafe.

I followed Rachael Rays lead and ordered the house specialty. Always order the house specialty if there is one. Proof is in the pudding....errrr....cake. I had a decadent slice of Agnes-Bernauer-Torte. We had to go back the next day to get two more slices to go. I'm drooling just thinking about it! The boys got a slice of the Tree cake. I found it to be dry and lacking in a distinct flavor. It arrived already cut into pieces rather than a tube as in the picture. Luckily, they paired it with a chocolate shake which was more like frozen hot chocolate Yumm-y! It was sunny with a slight chill but we still sat outside. We had to for the cafe with coffee in the mountains feeling. The inside was amazing with white wood, red velvet, and brass detailing. It wasn't gaudy but authentic. In terms of service, it was typical of any other cafe. Some other reviews say the waitresses were rude or whatnot but its the culture and perception. I found our waitress to be neither rude nor pleasant. :) I can't wait to come back. I may order an entire cake or venture out and actually read the menu.

It is a local cafe known for its outstanding cakes and desserts. This restaurant looks like something out of the 50's which just add to the charm. We were married in Garmish because it is such a beautiful town at the edge of the mountains and they did our wedding cake. So each time we go back we make eating here a priority because the food is so good and the cakes are also terrific. German cakes look rich but are actually lighter than American cakes. Coffee & teas are good as well. They are known for their breakfast menu and breads. We had lunch which was also very good. I did the goulash and noodles which was excellent. Simple straight forward well cooked food.

The cappucino, hot chocolate and black coffee aren't great. But great ambience, good service and a decent applestrudel with vanilla sauce made it a Ok experience.

This place was recommended by a local German and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and deserts! The sausage and sauerkraut was fantastic. The potato soup was delicious. My wife enjoyed her spinach quiche so much she ordered a second one. After we ate our meal we got freshly made candy and cakes that were also very good. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Garmisch area.

One of the best breakfasts in GAP. It might get a bit expensive but its well worth the price. We went early before the crowd started showing up (and they did). I had traditional breakfast with cheeses and meats. Their croissants are amazing and pretty much all of their breads. Fresh squeezed OJ tops the meals. Don't miss this place!

We visit this cafe every time we are in Garmish-Partenkirchen, it is a family tradition. The coffee is excellent, the Kronner Waffel is mine and my daughters favorite and our visit to the Alps would not be complete without a stop here.

Under Served. Over charged. On a beautiful, early Saturday afternoon we stopped at Krönner Café for a cappuccino and a pastry. Sat outside and waited at least 15 minutes for service. The woman at the table next to us got up and left after waiting and waiting. In hindsight we should have followed her lead. My husband went in to order and was told that they would send somebody out. They did and in ordering two cappuccinos and a cherry creampuff we got grilled on how we wanted our creampuff. "Komplett" (complete) or not? We said we wanted it as described on the menu. She returned with our order and overcharged us, claiming it was a large cappuccino we got... btw NOT on the menu. Unfortunately we didn't have enough cash on us (30 cents short) and she wouldn't take a credit card for less than €20. Our charge was €14.10. She then stood there and told us we would need to go to a cash machine to get the right amount of cash. We offered €13.80 cash or a credit card. Eventually she took the cash... and then proceeded to tell the customers sitting around us that we were outrageous. There was no language issue, my husband is German, just plain rudeness from the waitress. Steer clear of Krönner and try one of the many wonderful cafés along the way where you will not be under served and OVER charged.

The best cake selection in town! Always fresh and great tasting! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because some of their staff can be sometimes rude and impatient when it comes to selecting/ordering more than a few pieces of cake.
