Wir nehmen am liebsten den Tisch direkt vor der Küche. Mein Sohn guckt gerne beim Grillen zu. Ab und zu macht der Koch eine kleine Show wenn das Fett verbrennt. Wer denkt ein Steak-Haus ist nichts für Kinder irrt hier. Sowohl die Kinderkarte als auch das Personal geben sich alle Mühe das der kleine Mann noch lieber hierher geht als ich.

Was soll ich hier schreiben? Auch nach vielen Jahren die bekannt gute Qualität und ein super freundlicher Service.

Gewohnt freundlich und schnell bedient, haben wir wieder einmal gut im BlockHouse an der Europa-Allee in Frankfurt gegessen und getrunken! Wie beim vorangegangenen Besuch in Pandemiezeiten waren bestimmte Tische nicht zur Benutzung freigegeben, um vorgesehene Abstände zwischen Gästen aus verschiedenen Gruppen einhalten zu können. Überrascht war ich als diese zur Reduzierung der Ansteckungsgefahr mit dem SARS-CoV-2-Virus vorgesehene Blockierung des Nachbartischs plötzlich durch das Personal aufgehoben wurde, damit sich Gäste an den übernächsten - und den Nachbartisch setzen konnten. Ob da noch die vorgesehenen und mit der Markierung offensichtlich auch beabsichtigten Abstände eingehalten wurden? Wir sind dann bald, ohne eine der leckeren Nachspeisen zu nehmen, gegangen, zumal im hinteren Teil des Gastraums bei steigender Gästezahl für mich kaum Frischluft wahrnehmbar war.

Ich war Anfang des Jahres hier essen. Speisen und Ambiente im Block House Standard. Service sehr freundlich, auch wenn es öfter mal länger dauern kann mit den Bestellungen und der Rechnung.

Das Restaurant an sich hat eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, mit freundlicher Bedienung. Leider war die Portion der Medallions mit Champignonsrahmsoße nicht ausreichend für den Preis und das sage ich echt selten! Also an Preis-/Leistung sollte sich bitte was ändern.

Leider kann ich meinem „Cheeseburger“ nur 3 Sterne geben. Geschmacklich ok, aber wirklich nur ok. Für mich hatte es nichts mit einem Burger zu tun, eher eine überbackene Frikadelle. Keine Soße einfach nur mit Käse und Tomaten überbacken auf einem Stück Brot serviert. Einfallslos und langweilig.

Das Mr. Rumpsteak schmeckt in Ordnung, aber für den Preis nur durchschnittlich. Das Hereford Rib-Eye war etwas trocken und schmeckt unter dem Durchschnitt. Der Salat war nicht wirklich frisch und die Pommes schmecken nichts Besonderes.

Das Essen war gut, preislich angemessen. Die Hygiene war gut. Was störte, wenn man draußen sitzt sollte man keine Angst vor Wespen haben.

�Super Lecker immer wieder ein Genuss super Bedienung freundlich und immer im Sinne des Gastes schönes Restaurant mit schöner Terasse die gerade jetzt in den warmen Tagen sehr toll ist zum sitzen Absolut Kinder freundliches Restaurant wo man echt gerne die Zeit mit Freunden oder Familie verbringt. Preis Leistungs Stimmt auch. und es ist super mit Auto sowie mit dem Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel bis vor die Tür Erreichbar.

Been coming here for 15 years every single time I'm in Frankfurt and it's always beyond excellent. Can't recommend this place enough!

Schmackhafte Kartoffelküche! Man wird satt für 'nen schmalen Taler. Die Bedienung war lustig und sehr aufmerksam. Die Küche ist gekennzeichnet durch die Kombination, Abwandlung und Verfeinerung der Baked Potatoes & Sour Cream.

Für den Preis und die große Klappe in der Karte besseres erwartet. Rib Eye war zu sehnig und nicht wirklich zart. Schade drum.

In my top 3 of best steaks I've had. Brilliantly cooked even if it was super busy and only 45 min before closing time. Would definitely visit again!

Es ist immer genial! Fleisch war auf dem Punkt, Ofenkartoffeln und Sourecreme spitze und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend!!

Essen top, Glück gehabt, am Sa abend einen Platz zu bekommen, nach dem Festhallenturnier, da uns beim telefonischen Reservierungsversuch um 18h gesagt wurde, am Wochenende würde nicht reserviert...�

Wie immer alles super! Essen kam sehr schnell und schmeckte wieder total leckerrrrr� Immer wieder gerne. Bei dem Personal würde ich allerdings 1/2 Stern abziehen.

Vom Ambiente bis zum Essen einfach immer wieder ein Genus

Crowded on a Thursday, but got a table for 4 easily. Steaks are tender and flavorful. French Onion soup is excellent. Walking distance from several hotels.

I've been to different Blockhouse restaurants, all over Germany. So far I have never been let down. Until now... I was in town for business, so I was alone. The restaurant was maybe half full, not too busy but the waitresses made it very clear, that I should finish and leave as quickly as possible. During my order, the waitress didn't even take the time and let me finish talking before running off, obviously getting 2 out of 3 things wrong. But it didn't stop there. My starter soup actually came together with the my steak. Not quite the relaxing dinner that I expect at a 50€ bill. They chefs also (which unfortunately is quite common in Germany) wasn't able to prepare the steak medium-rare. I don't know what's so difficult about it (at home I manage do hit the spot quite accurately). Especially for professional steak grillers!

The food is fine at Block House. It's not a Michelin-starred restaurant or anything to honestly write about. They serve steaks & potatoes & have a few vegetarian options. However, my 1-star rating is because of the server & experience that we had at Block House. On August 3rd we finally arrived in Frankfurt after a delayed flight from Florence, Italy. We were in Frankfurt for just 2 nights to visit friends & after landing at the airport, we found out that Lufthansa had lost 3 out of 4 of our suitcases. One of the suitcases was filled with safe food for our nut-allergic kids - so I was already feeling stressed & overwhelmed by the time we made it to Block House for a late dinner with our friends. They had an allergy menu that wasn't very specific or helpful & so we discussed food options with the waitress & manager. It was recommended that the kids eat a basic steak with plain potato and that they don't recommend anything else because they were uncertain if it was safe. I'm all for keeping food simple for the kids, but they honestly didn't know a lot about dealing with food allergies & whether or not a specific condiment was safe from any allergens & they didn't seem knowledgeable in the way specific dishes were prepared. I asked that our chef card (written in German with the specific allergens listed) be given to the chef & even asked to speak to them - but this never happened. They did, however, reassure me that a simple steak & potato would be cooked safely for them to eat. What bothered me the most during this dinner was that the waitress kept making jokes about the food allergies & she even said at the end of the meal "Everything okay? Everyone is still alive, right?!" I was so dumbfounded & shocked that she would actually say something like this? Was it a joke? After dealing with life-threatening allergies with 2 kids for 14+ years... I definitely do not see how someone could make light of the situation & make a joke like that. Especially, after reading about the several deaths of people that have died recently from accidentally consuming something they were allergic to. Shame on you Block House. You need to train your entire staff to be sensitive about food allergies & to take them seriously. It is literally life or death & not something that is going to go away anytime soon. I would have much rather you told me that you cannot accommodate our food allergies than to have to experience the insensitive comments by that waitress again.

WHY DO THE GERMANS PUT MAYONNAISE IN EVERYTHING!!?? Ok, had to get that out.... so I ordered the Mrs Rumpsteak meal (which was salad, garlic bread, steak, and baked potato with "sour cream"... I'll get to that), and the cheesecake for dessert. The positives: the steak was excellent. So were the garlic bread and- even though it came out looking less glamorous than the pictures- the cheesecake. The service, albeit friendly, was unnecessarily slow, like everywhere in Frankfurt. But the 3-star rating comes from the fact that the "sour cream" described for the potato was actually sour cream mixed with %#£@&@# mayo; my guess is to thicken it up? NOT EVERYONE LIKES MAYONNAISE, GERMANY; if you say it's sour cream, let it be effing sour cream!! I swear, if the Germans could put mayo in ice cream and milk, they would, Giezes Kreist... Pretty decent place, otherwise- but if you don't like mayo, skip the "sour cream" on the baked potato.

Overly crowded and loud with slow service. Food itself was okay, though nothing special. Over priced.

Decent food, friendly staff and cozy set up, if you are craving for steaks. They have menus in multiple-language and most of the staff speak English.

The second Block House steak restaurant started in autumn this year very close to the new Skyline Plaza in Frankfurt. The first restaurant in Frankfurt, which is more close to all the banks in town, was established in the 80's, so it took almost 30 years for the second one to open. Having some experience with the first restaurant and living quite nearby to this place, I had to test the new one as well. So I've ordered for lunch beef medium with pepper cream sauce, Italian salad and fries. The beef was very tender and tasty, salad was really fresh, but the fries were too slim for my taste. I wish they could have been like at burger restaurants or sports bars. However, the staff was really friendly. As with the first restaurant, it's being visited mostly by business people rather than casual people. So if you don't mind being surrounded by more sophisticated (not to say smugs) customers and willing to pay premium price for premium quality, then it's definitely worth a visit.

Average food, expensive. Salad was el-cheapo variety. But the big issue is that it's SLOOOOW. I waited over 30 minutes for the check. On a busy night, go only if time is not at all an issue.
