Preis/Leistung absolut in Ordnung. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Mein Paradies in Berlin!

We started with an amazing anti pasti with real products from Italy. The Pasta Ragu was excellent going well with the large selection of white and red wine they have.
Some of us had steaks which was no less than very very good.
A small Italian place in Berlin - very recommended!

Nothing special to be found here - except slightly high prices.
After having dinner with friends at this place, my partner pretty much summed it up saying: "They didn't really make us feel welcome as customers at any time."
Which unfortunately was true - the first table we were offered (in an otherwise empty restaurant with only three reservations that night - I checked) was the worst in the restaurant. The alternative - upon request - was better, but staff appeared unhappy with our choice.
Tables and chairs are "hip" - which means they are old, creaky and far from stylish. Nothing I'd like to sit on or at on for a longer dinner.
The music, albeit decent jazz, was too loud. Upon request, they lowered the volume, only to ramp it up again minutes later.
The food - well, nothing special here either. It was Ok, but presentation was lacklustre (just the food dropped on white plates, end of story), portion sizes sometimes a wee bit small.
Which brings us to the prices:
The burrata with tomatoes set us back €14 as a starter - which is fairly steep in Berlin. My vegetarian tortellini with butter and sage cost €16 - the portion was small (it was a mains), and there was absolutely nothing about it that justified such a high price.
We left the place still hungry and unfulfilled.

I've eaten here three times. Every time has been a great disappointment . It's pricey for begin Neukölln. The dishes I've tried, one pasta and two risottos were tasteless and needed loads of salt and pepper to taste anything. The risottoes were both over cooked and looked/tased more like normal over cooked rice rather actual risotto rice.
It's Italian food and the owners are italians - ie I would expect good food.
I also remember the chairs being quite uncomfortable each time.
Would not recommend this restaurant.

You know that feeling when you find your own meal a bit disappointing and wish you had ordered what your dining companion did? That was my experience at Sippi. I had an underwhelming seafood (just clams actually, too many just shells) pasta -- not bad, just nothing better than what I could have prepared on at home. Unfortunate, since it was the nightly special. Meanwhile, my partner had the housemade tagliatelle with meat sauce. The dish wasn't anything fancy, but it was the sort of thing you wish your non-existent Italian grandmother would serve you on a cold night.
We split a half-liter of wine and an antipasto plate, which had a nice and filling selection of meats, cheeses, and grilled vegetables. There were a few choices (spiced carrots, feta, eggplant) that made me wonder whether they weren't doing their shopping at the Turkish market, but it IS Neukölln.
All in all, solid, but not spectacular. Except for the tagliatelle with meat sauce, which I like to think was cooked by some Italian grandma they have hiding back in the kitchen. Maybe Italians would say that everyone's grandmother can make a pasta and meat sauce like the one at Sippi, but for those of us who don't have Italian grandmothers, it's nice to have such comfort food in the neighborhood.

One of the places where the menu sounds great but what you eventually get reminds you more of a somewhat uninspired home cooked meal. Far too pricy for what you get! It is not ok to write "Riesengarnelen" on the menu and all you can find in the pasta are some sad shrimp pieces. Pasta itself tastes homememade and good but that is all.
