Vollkommen enttäuschend. Kleine Karte und vietnamesisches Personal haben einen vertrauenswürdigen Eindruck gemacht. Hatte das simpelste Gericht zum Mitnehmen bestellt, Bun Bo Nam Bo. Zuhause angekommen die erste Enttäuschung! Optisch bereits erkennbar, dass im Gericht kaum etwas drin war, was auf der Karte stand! KEIN Zitronengras, KEINE gerösteten Zwiebeln, KEINE Erdnüsse. Unter Kräuter verstehe ich mehr, als nur 1 Stängel Koriander. Das für das Gericht übliche frische Gemüse auch kaum vorhanden (6 Halbscheiben Gurke, paar hauchdünne Karottenstreifen). Der größte Witz war allerdings die angepriesene „wunderbare frische Limetten-Chilli Fischsoße“ laut Karte. In echt: 3 Esslöffel WASSER mit ETWAS Fischgeschmack. Warme Reisnudeln waren das einzige, was versprochen wurde und was ich auch bekam. Noch nie bei einem so schlechten Vietnamesen gegessen!

Wirklich tolles vietnamesisches Essen zu günstigen Preisen. Die Auswahl an selbstgemachten Getränken ist riesig. Die Sommerrollen als Vorspeise haben mir besonders gut gefallen. Der Service ist super.

What is better than piping hot noodles on a chilly autumn evening?
We were looking for an alternative to hearty German food in Berlin. Given that it was cold in Berlin in late October, we thought it'd be a good idea to get hot noodles. We trekked all the way from the glittering monuments of Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate, to a quiet, low-key residential neighborhood just a bit north of Tiergarten.
Chum's is a family owned restaurant and their menu and specials are written in German. The receptionist was this Vietnamese guy who also turned out to be our server, and while he looked like he could be someone we know from Los Angeles with its huge Vietnamese community, the dude only spoke German and Viet, but he tried his best to accommodate us.
We ordered sauteed noodles and pho, and both were delicious and homemade, with the familiar flavors of Southeast Asia - lemongrass, ginger, jasmine and basil.
The restaurant wasn't even close to our hotel nor did we have WIFI to call an Uber after dinner, but we were brave enough to venture out here.. we'll figure out how to get home after we get our fill of yummy Vietnamese dishes first :)

The service is ok, quite fast I could say as compared to many other places, and the size of the place is enough to sit about 20 people.

This is good if you really like mint. I don't think it's necessarily that authentic but it was pretty okay for the cheap price.

Very authentic food, I felt like I was back in Vietnam. The restaurant on a little side street and is a real hidden gem. Whilst the service I a little slow, the food is definitely worth waiting for. We started with spring rolls which were delicious. For main, there was a great choice of vegetarian food for my friend and I asked for a recommendation from the waiter, he chose the duck in red curry such for me and it was by far the best meal I've had outside of Vietnam. Fantastic once. Highly recommended.
